  Built a garden studio out of these panels as I believe their insulation spin. Found the insulation properties are useless. They do not retain heat in winter and its like an oven during summer. The inside panels just radiate heat from the sun. Waste of money. Better off sticking with timber fames and insulation batts.

Our EPS panels are primarily designed for coolroom and temperature-controlled environments, where they’re installed with proper sealing, ventilation, and sometimes mechanical insulation support.

    Garden studios can face extreme external heat and sunlight, and without adequate shading, ventilation, or thermal break strategies, even insulated panels can become affected.

    The r-values of these sorts of panels is quite low, and these are ideal, too (with proper sealing and installation).

    You’d need a minimum of 100mm thickness to meet the r-value of a similar stud frame wall (usually stuffed with r2.0 insulation plus the plaster and bricks).
    If you use 200mm, install it and seal it properly, then your garden room will have much better temperature management.

    Another key issue with garden rooms is many installers do not use floor insulation.
