I recommend an Aula F75 (ice vein switch) from aliexpress, can be as low as 60-65 delivered at times. Best value by a mile :)

Would love to hear about a good experience from Aliexpress.

I've ordered that keyboard from three sellers ($56 three months ago), but they were never delivered. When a tracking number was given (Fedex), it seemed to be for a different parcel. The delivery address resembled mine to the extent it was for NSW (I am in the ACT), while the proof of delivery photo showed a parcel that looked to be half the width of a 75% keyboard.

Otherwise, I agree that the Aula is a good deal for those who want a solid looking board that sounds "marbly".

      • +3

yea i had a few like that, make sure its a choice seller and you will have no issues

Link please? Has numpads? I need that

    • Can you link us please?

    • +1

      Different form factor

  • Have been looking for a deal on one of these for a while! Thanks!

  • +1

    I wish i can get the 108 full.model with that price….

  • +7

Awesome, I posted a comment on the NES version thread i've been waiting for this. And boom.

The Ozb gods are kind to my prayers.

    • +2

Pulled the trigger on it man?

      • Absolutely.

    • +1

I have the full one (with the extra buttons, separate numpad and joystick). Its pretty good quality

  • Need numb pad

    • +3

You can buy it separately and its also a retro calculator. I

  • +2

Keyboard looks nice but I hate the look of the matching mouse 🤣

    • They've just launched another mouse which is like the xbox mouse but in the N edition color scheme.

  • +1

    Clicky

    • +1

That's what a hotswap PCB is for :) (if clicky switches aren't your thing)

      • -5

What's the point of discount if it costs me more or less the same as original price to have it as per my choice?
The deal should explicitly mention clicky up there so someone doesn't buy a wrong keyboard and then waste his time to fix his choice

        • JV is that you?

  • Paid for $139 with bonus Mwave credit that I couldn't find a thing to spend on then got expired. $100 credit down the drain :(

  • -2

    I recommend Ajazz AK820 Pro

  • +3

The EB one is back in stock for anyone who wants to earn carrots and save $1.04 on delivery

    • +4

Cheers, used discounted gift cards to get a bit cheaper

      • Goddammit I knew I should have read the comments first haha

Edit: Nvm I wanted the Fami not the N

  • +1

    Killer price nice find!

  • -3

Not sure why this one is so popular. There are heaps of nice looking mechanical keyboards that don't have ugly maroon coloured keys.

    • +8

The colours are based on the original Nintendo gaming console. N is for Nintendo Entertainment System or NES (Western version) and Fami is short for Family Computer or Famicom (Japan version). That’s why the Fami has Japanese kana on the keys. It’s also why the accessory is two big A and B buttons.

I assume most people are buying these for nostalgia, not because they’re mechanical keyboard fetishists.

    • +1

      nostaligia.

  • +1

Also $10 off on the C64 version, which is certainly no bargain given previous deals but seems to be about the best price at the moment.

    • indeed i bought this at 179! will be going in for a redund.

  • Thanks OP, been wanting the nes version for ages and missed out on the last deal :)

  • Love the look, but the clickiness puts me off. I'm using a Royal Kludge right now, and its switches are much smoother on the ears, than the clicky switches I had previously.

    Similar Colors too - https://amzn.asia/d/2KMptL8

    • +2

      saying 'royal kludge' out loud

      • +2

        I prefer some Royal Clunge.

    • +1

It's hot swap, so you can always put in your own switches if you really want the look of it.

  • No backlight is a deal breaker for me, otherwise would like to try.

    • helps with the battery life

      • Make sense, but if I can't see it in the dark room, means I can't use it comfortably. battery life won't matter then. If you can 100% finding all the keys without looking, then it doesn't matter to you. I can't.

        • You could always get an LED strip or a little USB-powered lamp if you really liked this keyboard otherwise.

          • +1

@alcadive: A monitor lamp should also throw enough light. I use a neon light of Art The Clown and it throws enough light for my whole room lol.

  • +1

On be onto this in a sec if the C64 model was at that price.

    • What age bracket do you fall under? I wonder if C64 vs NES is a generational thing

  • So, this wont work on a Mac Mini?

  • I ordered one. But delivery isn't expected until 4th July. That's a quite slow turnaround.

By the way Is this better than the keychron q1?

    • -1

      keychron is better

    • +1

I have 6 keebs, including one Keychron K6 Pro. I picked up the N edition from EB came in one day. It has quickly become my favorite board. Typing on it is extremely satisfying. The battery life is insane. About 2 weeks of use and still haven't had to charge it. My Keychron is nice and battery life would be considered decent but needs charge every 4 or 5 days with heavy use. You'll love it too when it arrives :D

  • OP, which numpad did you get on ali xpress?

  • Why are people going with this keyboard besides the deal? On reviews, the biggest CON is the loud clickly sound that is unsuitable for office, cafe, uni environment

    • I think the loudness has been greatly exaggerated. It's not that loud.

      • I hope so. Every review is about the loudness haha

      • While the price is nice, I think I'm going to pass on this. My current mechanical keyboard, people on virtual meeting complained about my loud noise. If this is loud, wait till they hear this haha

        • Can you use push-to-talk instead of your mic being always on?

          • @alcadive: That can get pretty tedious. Formal setting ok. But casual, with friends cbb

      • I'm currently on Cherry Browns I wonder if I'll adjust haha

    • I just grabbed one. I have been waiting for a sale cause bargains and all. The reason I grabbed it is because retro is my style and I generally put retro caps on my other boards. The sound itself falls in line with a retro feel, but they are not that loud compare to some of the real clicky switches. Other than that I have several boards and use gateron yellow for my work board which aren't silent, but not offensive lol.

  • Amazon has the numpad at the same price as JB ($74) for those that want local stock. Otherwise, it looks like AliExpress are having a sale from 16/06 for $56.29 and possibly another $6 off with a coupon.

I was going to do a single order with JB for the keyboard and numpad but they wanted to charge me extra for shipping a second item. So now I’m getting it faster and cheaper from Amazon. At least I can play with the numpad while I wait ~3 weeks for my keyboard to arrive.

I said a year ago i was going to replace my keyboard as my space bar falls off and some keys aint working properly.
I haven't been able to decide on what keyboard to get for a year but i would maybe like to be in a $150 bucks. I was going to buy this keyboard but it seems its not great for daily long use. Any other suggestions guys?

    • +1

Why is it not great for daily long use?

  • Those who purchased from this deal, is yours still on back order?

    • Yes still waiting

      • Thanks for your reply!

    • Still waiting for my Famicom one to be sent out

    • Mine has been delivered.

      • Did you get the N version?

        • nah, I got the Famicom version - my delivery address is in Sydney tho.

  • Those who purchased from this deal, is yours still on back order still?

    • +1

      Frustratingly yes

    • Unfortunately, still waiting. I remember they said before 3 July. Will see if it's true.

  • Finally received a message saying that my shipment has been created!

    • which model?

      • The Famicom one. I ordered like 2 days after this deal was posted.

        • +1

Yeah, same Famicom one, also got email today that order has been processed.

  • I got this:
