Urgent Help with Boost Recharge

Hi All,

I’ve been with Boost for few years and very happy with their service. I just got a text that my service expires tomorrow. If I recharge to another 365 days it’s going to cost me $300. Please note I’m looking for eSIM on my iPhone.

I remember that in the past I ported to Amaysim and found another Boost deal. Due to brain freeze or being older I can’t remember the process and the deals and need help from Bargain hunters.

  1. Do I port out of Boost today and go to amaysim eSIM?
  2. Is there online deals for boost packages for 365 days? My past history shows I have used 120GB in one year and was on 170GB plan.

If some one could give me some steps I’ll get this going now during business hours otherwise I won’t have connectivity over the weekend.

    Urgent Help with Boost Recharge

Urgent? Sounds like a lack of planning. You have had a year to plan your next recharge.

Yep seriously I agree. I had a reminder set and it didn’t pop up. I usually set 30days and 15 days alerts.

I'm expert at this stuff. If it expires tomorrow then idk how long online ordering for esim will take. If you're okay with a physical sim for now just go into Coles or Woolworths for an Amaysim 28 day sim. It should be around $12 or so when on sale. Port into that, use up the month then head back into Boost.

      🤣

      • Bruh, who needs these massive but expensive 500GB 365 day plans when you're hopping between $12 20GB+ 50GB bonus data Amaysim and Lebara every month from 7/11 app and Wooleys sale catalogue.

I port once every 28 days, in and out

          Depends who's paying for them…

Porting 28 days in and out is a pain. I have a full time job with so much going on. Porting twice a year is the max I can do but not every 28 days.

  • Another question. If I’m on Amaysim eSIM can I port to Boost eSIM? The deals which are on seems like on physical SIM.

I can’t find like 170 GB plans any more. Cheapest option $320 plus $55cash back offer vs $300 auto recharge my current plan.

Just use a physical sim and switch to an eSim later after porting using the app.

      • Could you help me on which Amaysim eSIM plan should I port in today? I think they would charge me. Not sure how long it takes them to ship the physical cards in Sydney.
Which plan should I opt in so that I can get some data and wait for the SIM card?!

Edit: Amaysim is giving me $10 promo for 28 days 32GB

Just get one from your local supermarket or officeworks. Whoever has a sale on…

Woolies have 80Gb Amaysim for $15 this week.

          • @jv: How long is it valid for? The Woolies one?

I went to the site below after I click $55 sim it goes to another site and fails there. Am I doing something wrong? I’m already signed into their site with my login password

Sale is on until next Tuesday…

              • @jv: Thanks a lot. So if I buy the $15 amaysim starter pack can I port my existing Boost number or it’s only for a new number?
Also, just to confirm this is a 28 day plan, right?

Lastly, if this top cash site doesn’t work then all that hard work running around would seem meaningless.

When you activate on the website, it will ask you whether you want a new number or to port an existing one…

You'll have 28 days to find a better Boost deal

                  • @jv: Thanks once again for helping me out. Last few queries mate.
                    1. You'll have 28 days to find a better Boost deal —-> do they offer good discounts on a going basis? If I miss this $55 cash back offer are there likely more offers on a 365 days plan?
                    2. For the Woolies offer on Amaysim. When I register online can I port my number to eSIM or has to be physical SIM only?
                    3. Out of this context: How do you reply inline in OZB? I had to copy paste your comment and paste it into this chat. I couldn’t inline comment.
