Hi all,

Was lurking in the hardware section of amazon and came across this. I tried in the past and didnt have global delivery enabled, might have changed either that or I missed this. I've had a maglite for years and love it. Thought this was an absolute bargain for $30 delivered. Great for power-outs or camping, great big torch all round.

    I was going to say, for donging people, but after checking I see that word has taken on an unfortunate meaning- Sending a photo of ones genitalia via cellphone to a significant other or accidental random person.

    As slowmo stated, it's great for having in the car, especially for those kind of emergencies in which you might need to crack some heads o_ O in self defense of course.

      I too have the 6-D version, have had for 20 years and it lives beside me under the passenger seat should I ever run into "trouble". Also doubles as a torch if I run into trouble!

      Haven't needed it for either but feels nice having it there. As far as torch goes it's a bit past it's used by date and has been surpassed by LED technology now but still handy for camping…

    cheaper just to get an LED version in the first place?
    (unless you want LED but in the 5/6 D size)

      Exactly, you can't get LED in 4/6D size

      The drop in replacement are usually brighter and better quality then the OEM Maglite LED's…

  Not a bad price for that model.
  I've had a Maglite 3-D Cell for the last 20yrs and recently grabbed an LED replacement drop in from amazon.

  Makes a big difference.
  I notice they have the Maglite LED 3-D Cell for about $28+ atm.
