What did you think of the Matilda Bay beers? Specifically taste comparison between the four.

I hope this is the correct forum to be discussing this in. I've only tried the Redback and the Fat Yak so far. I don't mind the Redback but I find the Fat Yak too floral. How is everyone else finding the taste of the beers?

  • I'll happily swap you for the Fat Yak, it's my fave.
I found the BeezNeez not to my liking, but I have a mate who raves about it, so it will find a good home.

  • I prefer Fat Yak > BeezNeez > RedBack. Yet to try Helga.

  • Beez > Yak > Red > Helga

    • Yak = Helga = Beez and a far distant last place, Redback.

I reckon Redback tastes exactly like Hoegaarden, which is my least favourite beer. Wheat beers tend to taste off to me. Visitors to my place get the Redback and if they can stand it, they'll continue to get them.

  • Really liked Beez,Fat Yak and Redback,Helga not so much.

  • I find these beers are improved by drinking from a glass - specifically spiegelau beer glasses, like 'beer in HD'

  • fat yak is a pale ale and has floral aromas due to the American-Cascade hops New Zealand-Nelson Sauvin hops. Redback is a wheat beer different class all together. I think they are all great I suppose if I had to single out my least favorite it would be beez neez…

Redback and Fat Yak best followed by Helga. I found the BeezNeez a little sweet for my palate but at that price i am not complaining.

  • Redback, Helga, fat yak, beez.

  • havin a redback right now. when the price is right.

  • on helga now !
