New 75 Inch TV for Gaming

What's the best of these TVs, mainly for ps5 pro gaming. Occasionally PC.

TCL 75C7K - $1,979
Samsung 75QN70F - $1,739
Hisense 75U6AUPRO - $1,700

Prices are approx.

Or is there something else I should consider, in the sub $2k price range?

Thanks

  • Is $2k your absolute limit?

If not, do yourself a favour and get one of these:

Remember, this is likely a 5 year investment. And the mini LED, is the bees knees my gaming compadre.

Can flex a little! Thanks for feedback. You think X90L is better than options above?

After I bought my Sony 2 years ago, I am afraid I wouldn't buy another brand in the future. Noting the Sonys tend to be darker than the Samsungs. It would be best for you to go to the shop and see if you like the image quality.
The X90L has 4K/120 fps as per the Sony site.
I just checked on Product Review AU, some people report issues with the screen, but who knows what treatment was given to the TV after the purchase; people move houses, throw the TVs in a truck with no protection and expect TV to take it. Good reviews on JB though. JB warranties are the best IMO in the case you are worried about those bad review.

Do you like to gamble? Look through previous deals for Sony Seconds and Box Damaged and most report they are new…. every so often one is cooked and clearly a warranty return. But the odds are good. I got the earlier XR-75X90J model as a "Seconds" and it was brand new with the service menu showing zero hours. These don't get posted as deals because they are always under the quantity requirement to qualify (which I suspect they do on purpose).

      • Yes, Definitely the SONY.

I have had a lot of experience with LG, SONY, SAMSUNG, and HISENSE. SONY IS DEFO MY PICK. Samsung would have been my pick prior to 2018, but since then, they are overpriced. I got the first SONY that had VRR, and it has never skipped a beat, beautiful natural colour, great response time. And the O.S. with Android, been fantastic. Support all the apps like Apple TV, Disney+, with their maximum native sound and picture quality dolby atmos, dolby vision, 4k etc. (Samsung is actually horrible when it comes to this stuff). LG, not too bad on the O.S. side, but still not awesome / great like Android.

The TCL you mentioned looks good being Mini LED, and Google, I would say, this is definitely worth researching. I have no personal experience with TCL, so can't really comment on colour and build quality etc. but it is only a 60Hz tv, and doesn't have HDMI 2.1. and for me that is a hugs dealbreaker, ESPECIALLY FOR GAMING!. Ping me if you have any more questions. So sorry it took me so darn long to reply, I only just saw it in my emails.

          Thanks!!

          • @Captainballbag3: You're welcome. Good luck. I am sure you will be happy with whichever TV you land on. Just please remember, its roughly a 5 year investment (especially if you get like extended cover), so $300 to $500 extra over that time, is less than $2 a week. For that, the amount of use I will get out of it, and the extra pleasure I will get from it, it's an absolute no brainer for me.

Personally, I am kinda hoping my TV dies under warranty so I can put that towards and upgrade (MINI LED was not a thing when i got mine, and OLED was still unreliable and had horrible burn in).

  • Where’s the LG OLEDs

Some great deals on the TCL 75C6K outgoing model. Not sure the new model is worth 25% more.
