    • You can add that tablet for extra $50. But the tab a9 only has 4gb ram. It is laggy even opening websites…

      • i got the A8, i want to throw it out the window after having it for a day. Now sitting somewhere in my room.

        • The only situation I can image is to use the 5g tablet for car GPS… Or try to sell it for $100. :)

        • use it next time to trade in so that way u can get money from trade ins…

  • I'm getting $635 minus the A9 tablet. Just bought the Galaxy Tab S10 FE plus for $627 and the regular FE for $235 the other month. Very tempted to get this as well.

    • usually just means out of stock, try a different variant, 512gb or something.

  • also https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/910626 is still active just not for the 256gb variant that is OOS

    • FYI, no free bonus keyboard added to cart on that one. They ran out ~2 hours ago.

    • No more double $500 trade in discounts.

      • -3

There was never double $500 discounts. The extra was from the 30% rrp + trade in discounts.

        • Yes there was.

          $500 + $500 on S10 Ultra

          $300 + $500 on S10+

@HomeAlone: I got the price that op posted and it worked out properly in my calcs.

            • @lawyerz: Share you calculations then so we can see where you went wrong.

Look at this screenshot from the other thread. It literally shows $500 bonus applied twice.

$500 bonus for the offer ending on 2 July and $500 bonus for the offer ending on 12 July as well as $1 trade in value for the device.

    • edit: looks like its properly out of stock now

  • Expired. They fixed the double bonus trade in discount

    Got cancellation email. Oh well:
We are sorry to inform you that your order AUxxx with Samsung Australia has been confirmed to have a pricing error where the Trade-In Bonus was duplicated at checkout.

  • Judging by marketplace ads, seems like some people got this delivered before they were able to cancel

  • I purchased this on the 11th Jan. I didn't know it was an error. I thought it was some crazy special Commbank yellow deal.

Samsung cancelled my order at midday 17th June, even though it was awaiting dispatch.
That means an order was placed, "accepted" & then being prepared to ship.

6 days is a decent length of time to hold a customers money and then advise they made a mistake. To my understanding a business must tell you they made a mistake before the order is "accepted". According to the ACCC anyway.

I'm not overly concerned, but looking at the history of this scenario, it appears repetitive & dare I speculate, intentional by Samsung.
Certainly brings more traffic their way & vouchers for all cancelled orders could lead to more spending but who knows really. Just a theory.

I think there's a good shot at getting it for the price I initially purchased at given the timings but I don't have the energy to fight for it. I empathise for the staff that have most likely dealt with many annoyed customers backlash already.

  • Samsung only became aware of the error after the other deal crazy, hence the delayed cancellation. No way it was on purpose and caused a heap of work for Samsung to fix and also lose money from the $5, vouchers because people are buying chargers or something as close to $51.
Order processed as per ACCC means they havent sent it to you. Anything prior to that meant they can cancel. Just means they cant send it to you and charge you additional.

    • What's the $5 vouchers? I think Samsung only aware because of the sudden influx of orders from us :)

      • Sorry, $50 voucher with $51 minimum spend. People in s10 Ultra post said they got the voucher in the cancellation email. Maybe not eveybody got it.

My comment was meant to be a reply to impulsebuydirect. Unlucky for them because if Samsung had stock and shipped their order before the S10 Ultra post, they would have received it. Some people received it.

        • Oh got it. I did get the $50 voucher from cancellation email, haven’t tried yet

    • I say I believe it could be fought because the ACCC is very clear:

"The business must inform the customer of their mistake before processing the order and give them the choice to continue with their order at the correct price, or cancel it."

Samsung must inform of their mistake before processing the order; which they did after 6 days in my case. However the key takeaway is, "and give them the choice to continue with their order AT THE CORRECT PRICE, or cancel it".

This is where I believe Samsung failed & stated their T&C's stating incorrect pricing reversal with automatic cancellation & no choice given. No matter which business has T&C's, Nothing can supercede the ACCC.

Why couldn't they provide the option to remove the double trade credit error to a single trade credit. Why cancel all together? It's odd.

I may be incredibly short sighted & missing something, but to me it looks very black and white that this can be fought. If my logic is not logical, I really would like to know & learn wtf I'm missing. 😅

      • They can just say you can put in a new order at correct price which is the same thing.
Their system likely doesnt have the capability to amend existing orders to add the $500 back so they dont have that option to offer to continue at corrected price, leaving cancellation as only option. I dont think its a must do and things like system limitations are taken into account.

        • That's fair but still isn't great because I don't believe they communicated that.
Just cancel and here's a voucher. Also waiting up to 4 or 5 business days for a refund isn't ideal.
          Anyway, cheers for your thoughts.

  • Order got cancelled.

  • I think everyone’s order got cancelled , I just received email saying it was pricing error and order got cancelled .

    • I wonder what has changed since now and a few months ago. From the secret sale promo a few months ago, it also had the double trade in and some people allegedly got the S10+ for ~$490-500s

      • A lot less sales as secret sale stock is limited. They picked up on error faster so less sales. Didnt have bonus keyboard cover or A9 tab for $50.
Wasnt the previous secret sale an S9?

        • True. I imagine the 3000+ orders was too much for them to honour this time around, especially with the extra A9s.

The same user also picked up an ultra just short of $600 apparently.
