I've been in the market for a salad spinner and saw this. Looks like a pretty good price though I can't compare the quality to generic brands.

I cheap out, wrapping salad in a tea towel and hurl it around outside by arm to spin it.

  • $39.99 now. Price changed? :(

  • Damn, I've been in the market for one too but it looks like it's changed to $39.99

  • I have the larger version. The quality is amazing. Plastic is thicc and it is well designed

    • The spinner is great, my problem was the bowl cracked at the bottom. I might’ve pushed the plunger too hard.

  • Damn!!! Missed it again.

  • need biger one.

  • damn missed it

  • I don’t even need one or had the need but feeling the fomo after reading the comments above 🥺

  • I have the larger spinner. Can recommend with one caveat.

The spinning mechanism (that’s integrated with the lid) is hard to take apart and put back together. Resulting in retention of water in said mechanism.

    Despite that, great spinner.

Why do you need to take the spin the mechanism apart?
It already has large holes in it for the water to drain out. Just need to tilt it in the right direction.

Anyway normally I don’t take apart the mechanism because that doesn’t touch the food or get dirty.

The top plate just pulls away from the lid. Only that really needs to be cleaned

Yeah, I don't take that apart. Did that once and never again.

And yes, I was referring to the top plate, but didn't quite articulate that quite well.

I believe the last time I tried taking it apart was because it took a while for the water to drain (and dry). Perhaps a skill issue on my part.

I would try letting it drain in multiple positions before putting it away.

  • The IKEA one is well designed and good. $7

    • Not comparable since turning it is a PITA sometimes

  • Nice find ATL from the looks. Been meaning to buy one of these for a while, shame it went back up so quickly
