How do these compare in quality and fit to country road oxfords?
Country road quality has gone down and price gone up, looking for a decent quality alternative
Country Road are awful in comparison. I'd rate these are solid 6/10, they are good for about 6 months of constant wear before you start looking like a homeless man!

i'd agree… having enjoyed too many chickenchips and gravy sessions, i can say "classic" is like a tent — specifically in the arms and waist. slim fit is more "true fit" for a larger rig (in my opinion).

Read some comments in the OzB forums the other day that their quality turned to shit ~6 to 12 months ago. I last purchased just over a year ago and those shirts are still going strong, so haven't experienced it myself.
Got a recent delivery of 3 - 2 seems to be good, the 3rd is pretty thin material and won't last too many washes. YMMV…
If you wear oxford weave blue, these may (potentially) still be ok. Quality has decreased IMO for non-iron twill (which is your basic plain cotton shirt).
I began buying these in 2005, so have some experience. My last order was shite - never again.
In reality, everything under the sun has gone up in cost over the past few years. For CT to continue selling these at $45 per shirt, either they have a magic supply chain fairy, or they are continuing to squeeze the quality of the product somewhere. My experience says it is the latter.
Never loved the TM Lewin, so will stay with Hawes & Curtis for now. They're worth the extra $25 per shirt, whether it's to avoid displaying the gorilla rings when wearing a white shirt, or to stave off the homeless look @solidice.
Yeah suspect the same, they've already increased price and aren't doing those good '3 for' deals anymore, so the only thing they can do now is cut costs. They must figure further increasing prices will push away too many customers. Personally I would rather they just increase prices than provide an inferior product though.
I'm looking for the next level up shirt brand now, I'll just pay extra if I have to. Hadn't heard of Hawes & Curtis, thanks will check them out. I thought TM Lewin didn't exist anymore.

IMO, MJ Bale suits are okay but shirts are not that great vs TM Lewin.
Somehow they need to charge $20 for shipping yet never fail to deliver their unrequested catalog for free

Bought before covid and still wearing them, quality was good back them. Unable to buy a new batch as they stopped making my size, i guess i'm some weird combination that doesn't sell. Still havent found a suitable replacement for 38 Collar + 89 sleeve in Extra Slim Fit, might try Hawes & Curtis
