Oakley Medium is just slightly tight and hae having to wear a large having the dial turned tight and also looks too bigHelmets run smaller - for sure go for the larger size if you are in the middle

Rep, which is your lightest adult helmet? The website sucks as some models have weight in the description, others are omitted completely.
Can't answer but google will find most weights. Having spent some time researching the VERY well-priced Trace MIPS (~$120 delivered), I can tell you it weighs a very respectable 280g. It also provides exceptional impact protection (tested by Gearlab) via MIPS and the proprietary koroyd. Neg is that the koroyd reduces airflow somewhat. By comparison the Forefront 2 is ~380g. GL
Thanks mate - appreciate you taking the time to post. I should have specified my interest was in snow helmets. There are so many different varieties and the Smith website makes it really difficult to tell the meaningful differences between them.
Woops. Yeh, far too many websites fail to provide basic product info, simply because they don't make any effort to think like actual consumers. Shoe sellers are probably the worst. They almost invariably think the human foot is one dimensional.

Looked at getting that but the front half looks like the edges are quite thick and will have a more pronounced mushroom look. Cant be returned so didnt buy it.
Plenty of reviews and pics of the Trace around if you're still thinking. Sweet price for what reviews say is a great all rounder.
@$112.50 its worth a punt I think.

Got caught up at work, now most of the Ski Helmets in Large sold out
Some were sold out by first minutes of 3pm.
Sizing runs small on helmets so if you are on the border line the XL is a good option

On the Smith website, there are two different selection drop-boxes for sizing.
There is also overlap in XL vs L. Can both be the same diameter?

Frustrating, wanted a red helmet, bought one and as an afterthought, grabbed a set of goggles with a red strap to match. Saw a different helmet as well but went with the red one. Couple of days later I get the 'OOS' email and a refund for the helmet leaving me with the goggles I was never too bothered about. great sale, full Qudos to Smith, just frustrated.
