Was looking for a Panda after being refunded on the Casio.

Essentially the same as THIS except obviously in the PANDA PANDA PANDA colourway which doesn't seem to be available on amazon at the moment. The cream panda and reverse panda also available at the same price

Just add any $25 item (or more), allowing the use of the coupon code. For different final prices, more coupons here: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/deals/theiconic.com.au

There is the usual slew of Cashback options which I didn't mess with (including this 4.5% cashback on giftcards: https://www.cashrewards.com.au/store/the-iconic-gift-card) because frankly I'm tired of them not tracking and there doesn't seem to be anything significant.

Of course this is Ozbargain, so if feel free to squeeze every last dollar out of the deal if you so wish

The brown one is $225 on Amazon, I like the colourway but the hands get lost and would be hard to tell the time at a glance (same as the panda I guess):
    https://amzn.asia/d/47R3Jti

The reverse panda seems more legible, also $225:
    https://amzn.asia/d/7eFnkTk
(or $216.75 with code EOFY25 from Watch Direct)

It's annoying the iconic codes aren't allowed to be used on already reduced items now. Fair enough but I was certain I could previously apply the join up $20 or birthday code to items. It's still alright if you get the other item cheaper but means spending more. (Eg. Nike 3 pack crew socks I got for $10 instead of $30).

I have the brown one and it's an amazing watch for the price. It looks much more expensive than it is.

      • hmm maybe i should have got that one but will see how the reverse is, they all look great for the price.
I've got a Q GMT 38mm but it looks like the bracelet will fit on these as well (18mm lug width)

        • I don't think you can go wrong with any of them. Go with your heart :)

The new Q gmt continental looks very classy https://timex.com/products/q-timex-continental-gmt-39mm-stai…

          • @kolorijo: Those look pretty clean. I don't have much of a need for GMT but could come in handy.

All these Quartz keep great time and basically set and forget. Either way you really want 40-50% off Timex, pretty over priced but a great heritage brand.

I got this one on today, got for $196 (the bday $50 seemed to stack back then)

@G-rig: Yes, never pay full price for Timex. They have been producing (reissuing) some real bangers lately (I used to dismiss them, but not anymore).

That's great, it looks similar with the 666 devil diver from Bulova.

@kolorijo: Completely different watches, this is fairly small and racing inspired but yes agree Timex are releasing some great stuff. I usually tap out at $250 (sale price) though.

  • Timex Q (desk) Diver — 50m WR.
The price you pay for coin battery access.

    • I wouldn't call these chronos divers, they are pretty dressy. I don't think anyone would wear them in the shower or pool, including the Q series.

Look at the deep water reef if you want a good 200m diver with screw down. You don't even need to wear dive watches diving if you have a computer these days. It's just because you can!

      • We don't consider them divers. Nobody with a functional brain would. But that's what Timex chose to name them.
50 metres isn't even good for swimming — buyers beware!

        • Oh right didn't notice that, just looks like an error on the Iconic site (have a look on other sites).

Anyway, anyone who knows about watches is smart enough to know they won't divers.

  • Hmm, nice watch but seems a bit thick and blingy. May send it back, pretty hard to beat the Seiko Speedtimer so may as well wear that more often.

    • Only pogue (and alpinist) can beat the panda (for me hehehe)

      • Yeah I like the 39mm Seikos, don't care about paying more for the Pogue 41mm :).

Timex are cheap but I still don't think I need to lo many. The Q GMT is good and thin, a bit more retro.
