We’re looking to get new carpet installed in our apartment in the southern part of Sydney and wanted to see if anyone has any good recommendations for both carpet suppliers and installers?
Also, if anyone knows of any EOFY carpet sales going on at the moment, would really appreciate the heads-up!

Have a think about the underlay too. They will try to upsell you the thicker underlay (which i always fall for and get). You may as well replace the underlay while you are at it. That is usually where the smell is.
Have a think about the quality you want. Even just entry level nylon carpets will have varying qualities to choose from - different weaves. Nylon is typically harder wearing. Woollen carpets shed.
Be sure to draw up a plan of the home/ rooms with measurements so they can give you an accurate quote/ estimate. Also think about if you need the cupboards done too.
Generally, most places will supply and install. You shouldn't need to source your own installer. Also, most pricing at stores includes the installation in the pricing of x per sqm.
Just go to a store and if you have a good customer experience, go with them. Sometimes going cheaper can be a headache.
