So your speaker broke (one that has a stated warranty of 12 months by the manufacturer, I.e. the company is saying your lucky if this thing makes it to 12months).
you emailed support and said "muh speaker broke after 18months of use, I want it fixed or a new one and you must do it because I know of a little trick called the ACL"
The company responds, then ignores you (but you also ignore them, so a chicken or egg thing here).
You then post in ozbargain…?
One can only imagine why your method failed…?
On a more positive note, post elsewhere (reddit where others are more likely to share the same issue and make the word more head).
And try developing a fix or diagnosing the cause of the issue. Yes it isn't your fault but you might as well use all that energy required to write 2 paragraphs towards something a little more practical.

Buyer beware: Quality issues with the D12 speaker. The on-off switch failed after 18months. It has only been used indoor-only as a bedside speaker. The off position of the power switch no longer cuts power.
I raised warranty support for repair or exchange under ACL , and have only been brickwall'd by Edifier.
First, their suppor representative provided an acknowldgement response but no further response. Resulting in their Zendesk support system auto-close after 7 days of no response.
Then, when follow-up, they stand firm on their own 12-month manufacturer warranty and decline remedy. Complete disregard of the ACL
