If only if you could store for a long time… oh wait…
I actually don't get how this department is profitable. C&C is free for large orders. Rapids cost 15. Supermarkets have really thin margins, so I doubt grocery prices subsidize us.
Like wtf? How do they afford to have 3 employees on roll, 60 dollars an hour? And on top of all of this, run crazy promos constantly.
Yet they make more than 1 billion profit. I don’t see them selling for a loss.
Dam nice, how that stack up
@Makaveli99: Got lucky with a heap of peel and wins! They put more than one in each C& C I did yesterday
Damn score! Here i am sitting with my free coles lamington fingers 18 pack voucher…
I would say it aims to get a LOT of people bringing forward purchases of non essentials to really boost turnover for EOFY. Margin wise, most customers aren't OzBargaining so they're likely making it back on people buying items not on special (the specials are pretty mid this week).
The conversation rate of the peel and win coupons isn't 1:1 either (lots of comments on previous threads of people missing them)
This Fest is just a very rare one off promo. Never seen Coles or Woolies doing anything of this scale so Coles might be losing money off this but not in the long run
Bringing in a lot of people with this and then hooking them with the extra FBs points
Coles did a buy one get one free promo just a few weeks ago. Definitely the only incentive for me to walk into woolies these days is being on bunch but between the monthly points deals and the free stuff flybuys keeps giving me, 99% of my shopping is now at coles when I was previously a very loyal woolies customer.
If you don't want to spend the full $50 you can add the Zooper Dooper first to reach the $50 minimum, then add the code. So minimum spend becomes $42.70.
Great. Just what we need to cool us down on these hot summer days… oh wait…
