The Fiskars Soil Block Maker creates seed-starting soil blocks, which produce healthier seedlings and reduce the need for disposable seed starter trays and pods. Soil blocks encourage strong root systems via natural air pruning while preventing young plants from becoming root bound. This reduces transplant shock, while offering more efficient uptake of water and nutrients when the plants are transferred outdoors. The structure itself provides proper compression of seed-starting soil, ensuring each soil block has the right amount of air, moisture and consistency. Create one 3 in. block for larger seeds and plants or four 1 in. soil blocks for smaller plants. Additionally, the tool places a hole at the top of each block for easy, optimal seed placement and depth.
Nice find, paid $15 last month, then price went up, and thought i did well, $5.50 is an amazing deal.
