anyone had experience with Crest Powerboards compared with Jackson? currently $15 instore at Coles (says $30 on the site) - www.coles.com.au/product/crest-power-board-4-socket-2-usb-1.…

  • pretty negative reviews on this board though

  • The black ones here are rapid charge.

So fast charge ain't great at all.

I found this product at Bunnings Warehouse you may like: Jackson 4 Outlet Rapid Charge USB-C Powerboard https://bunnings.com.au/applinks_p0537811?source=product_sha…

JB has a pic of the back of the box which seems to imply it's one of those typical 5V only power boards, hardly what people expect for a fast charging USB-C port.

Picked up a Jackson single-port pink board for the missus recently on Bunnings clearance for $15 which does state 9V, 12V, etc. specs

    From the Jackson Product Page:

    Specifications

    • Voltage Rating: 230-240VAC 50Hz
    • Current: 10A (Max.)
    • Power Rating: 2300-2400 Watt (Max.)
    • Surge Current: 9,000 Amps
    • Energy Absorption: 350 Joules
    • Response Time: <20 Nano Secs.
    • USB: 5VDC 3.4A Max Total
    • Board Dimensions: H 30mm x W 53mm x L 320mm
    • LOL. seems like anything over 5V1A can be named "FAST Charger" nowadays….

but for $20 I won't complain… saves some room at least

5V 3.4A is already more than 15W - base model Samsung Galaxy phones show "fast charging" at 15W, so its not a wrong description exactly.

    • Hmm the one i got jb to price match has identical title however some specs are different.

      Jb version
      Surge current:18,000
      Energy Absorption: 175 joules
And box says lead is only 1m (instead of 1.75m for bunnings version).

Unsure which is better but i used a perks vocher to only pay $10 out of pocket, so happy regardless.

The one from JB Hi-Fi is technically a different model - PT2929SUSB3C (Bunnings is PT40SSW)
