Just came back from it and it felt like a typical ozbargain meetup haha.

  • I read this as ‘NSFW’ :-/

    • +1

Accurate though, i mean, if your other half is going here as a 'work-related team-building event' then you may have some tough conversations ahead

    • +1

      Typo. It's in NSW.

    • I read the picture as Sauna - Ice - Cream

  • 9.1/week at my local swimming pool. I only there to use the sauna

    • Where is your local pool?

  • PEGI-13 people.

  • Where are the other states?

  • +1

    Nurumassage?

  • Photo too small, can't see clearly

  • 90 minute session? Ozbargainers only need about 2-3 minutes top.

  • I wonder it's for all ages…

    • That’s something JE would say

      • +1

        you mean JV

  • so looks like you need to bring your own towel and then you get 90 minutes for (Sauna, Ice Bath, Steam Room)

not sure if i could stay more than 10 minutes in a sauna / steam room so how does one maximise 90 minutes? lol

    • I usually do 40 minutes all up at my gym's set up, with steam-cold pool-spa-sauna-cold pool-spa..

      Can't imagine doubling that lol.

Man I'm jealous at those prices though, $20 a week is half what I pay

      • oh wow hows the transition from steam to cold than pool? expect theres some benefits in doing this as opposed to I was just thinking of only doing sauna and steam room lol

also i dont think this place as a pool, looks like its just Sauna, Ice Bath, Steam Room?

        • +2

There's no actually any known benefits, its just nice to cool off. If anything there's probably evidence to suggest its bad to do it after working out, for muscle growth anyway. I do have to laugh about how much of a health fad the whole ice plunge thing is. Its very refreshing, but its not some magical health thing.

The spa is not really necessary, I just like it because its a midway between the cold of the cold pool and the overly hot sauna

I went this morning, it was excellent, thanks OP!

They were super chill. There's space (sort of, more like a cleaner change rooms) to relax inbetween the sauna, so you can do the recommended "sit, sweat, chill, repeat". I do recommend bringing a water bottle!

Also, the steam room is unavailable till the end of the week (still under construction, so makes sense it is free)

damm its only sauna and ice bath then. a bit of false advertising saying steam room but its not available till potentially this weekend

  • I went there yesterday. Best way to maximise the facilities is to go 10-15mins sauna, 5 mins ice bath, 10-15mins Infrared sauna and 5 mins ice bath. Repeat to your liking!

    • I forgot to mention it’s only 5 mins from the train station. If you want free parking along Portman st around Merton st side is best.

    • 5 minutes in the ice bath?

Man, that sounds like torture haha

      • The trick is deep, long breaths and don’t go into the sauna right away as you will get burnt…

    • Was it crowded. What was the customer base like?

      • I’m unsure on how many they allow to book for each session but it was reasonable. With people moving in between the facilities there is definitely space for you to sit at each sauna. Ice bath could be a bit of a queue as I think there’s only 6 or 7

        • i booked this arvo and most of the 12-6pm are "full" damm lol

I'm confused is this a brothel?

  • Gonna mark this as expired as 99% of the slots are full
