Bosch Series 6 Free-Standing Dishwasher $1126 via Price Beat + Delivery ($0 C&C) @ The Good Guys

230

Good dishwasher (probably) for a good price (probably) after boosted cashback from TopCashBack.

Comes to $962.50 after cashback per the tracking email I've received. But likely to end up at around $970-975.

I was planning to buy earlier today but price beat was disabled. Seemingly re-enabled after I reached out to support.

Upsized 15% TopCashback deal for 26 June only

Apologies in advance for any deal formatting errors.

    1126 PRICE BEAT

    CASHBACK 1126/11X10X0.15 = 153

    973 ???

    • I got a confirmed tracking cashback email for $163.50. Maybe something to do with how price beat was used.

      • 163.50 is based on 1199 price tap
your cashback is either adjusted to 153 or reject. I dont think you can get 163 base on last 15% cashback promotion

        • I tapped on it and it said it's 15% of $1090.

          • +1

            @Pharos5: 1199 , that include 109 GST

            Cashback calculated on 1199-109 =1090…X0.15= 163 correct !!

      • I bought it this morning. I was about to post it but they removed the price beat button from the listing for few hours.

Cashback will be recalculated to around $153 and effective price will be around $973. Cashback does not apply on Price beat discount of $74.

  • Is cashback applicable with price beat button?

    • I have a tracking confirmation email.

*Cashback is ineligible on any portion of the transaction paid with gift cards, store credits, 90-day StoreCash, Price Beat discounts, delivery charges, and taxes. Cashback is calculated on the total eligible amount that the customer pays on the docket after any price reductions have taken effect, and exclude delivery & GST.

  • I have this, and it works fine, but the drawer design (both) is pretty crap compared to the Electrolux I used to have (but it was a crap machine, so there's that…)

  • I have this, and after just four years’ service, the on/off switch started to work intermittently.

    • Thanks, thats not great

Bosch Series 2 dishwasher is $656 with Price Beat. After 15% cashback and $70 StoreCash, effective price will be around $500 or less. For this price, one of the best entry level dishwasher in my opinion.

I've had the series 6 for about a year now. No issues to report. Cleans well on the 1 hour cycle. Sometimes things have a few water drops left on them, but really not an issue. I really like the cutlery drawer.

Links to an app if you need it, but I don't use it.

    • I have had Series 6 for the past 8 years. no issues at all, it runs really well.

  • I have a recent Series 6. It is not good- washes worse than the old crappy dishwasher before it broke down.

Sometimes leaves bits of dishwasher powder too.

Guy in the store confirmed that he's been getting complaints on the most recent versions.

Bosch recommends tablets, bits of dishwasher powder would indicate too much being used.
When the dispenser opens the tablet lands in the middle rack handle for the middle spray arm to dissolve it there.

I'm currently using those three in one Finish sachets. There not much powder in those.

It also just doesn't clean as well as my old cheapie dishwasher.

I'm wondering if they've recently gone past some energy or water efficiency threshold in a quest for better environmental numbers.

That's odd, I would suggest to clean the 3 filters in the bottom but also when removed there is a turbidity sensor that sticks out ( 2 prongs ) that would be worth checking if there is something blocking it.

Not sure why someone would be telling you they are getting complaints as this is one of the highest selling models being the entry German made model and is by no means the latest version.

Sorry should of also checked that you are not using the quick wash all the time.

          • @Retailing: Not using quick wash. Auto and Eco. I think Eco might be a bit less reliable but I've not been tracking it anymore.

I'll check the filters and sensor before using it tomorrow. Thanks for the pointers.

Worth mentioning that the poor performance was noticed within the first week of ownership, so it's not something that happened over time.

              @rumblytangara: No worries,

Just even stranger if it has been happening within the first week, if it is not too old then I have often have success with my Bosch rep for "goodwill" assessments so it can be worth asking the retailer you purchased it from to see if this is an option if your problem persists.

            • +1

@rumblytangara: I find my Bosch Serie6 works best on the cooler/faster washes only when powder is used, and the sachets/tablets only work fine on the hotter/longer washes. When using powder, don't overload the dispenser by using too much. And make sure the dispenser is dry when the powder goes in.

I used the iphone app to download extra custom wash cycles, and try to usually wash using 60 degree or 70 degree wash temps for best results.

I'm happy with my Bosch dishwasher.

  • I got this early this year and have no complaints. The layout is good (or at least much better than the Miele we had before). Very quiet, and everything comes out clean.

The Home Assistant integration is nice too - I use it trigger wash cycles when the solar panels are generating more power than the house is using.

  • Yeah just got this a couple of weeks ago for $1,320 from the good guys damn. happy with it so far

  • what a shame… i need a built-in one…

    • If you want a Built-Under, the Series 6 option is the SMU6HCS01A which is $1,254 on Appliances Online.

The model in this deal is the SMS6HCI02A which is the entry/starting point for German Made Series 6.
It is entry in the sense that the product is still manufactured in Germany but it has the control panel and the simpler internal layout that is from the Series 4.

This base/entry option in Series 6 is only available in Freestanding.

The Series 6 Built-Under in Stainless is the SMU6HCS01A which has the touch control panel and the better/newer internal layout.
It has a bit more flexibility in the bottom and middle basket as it has more foldable prongs which are highlighted in red, silicon strips in the middle basket to better hold the glassware in place and a new jet system that you can turn on or off in the middle basket to get 3 times as much pressure in that zone so popular for small bowls or tupperware to get an aggressive clean in the middle rack.

  • Crowshop also has it for similar price ($1,022-$1,039) for those who missed out/don't like cashback. I never heard of Crowshop before but it seems like a solid seller.

  • That is a different model, you have linked the SMS6HAI02A and this is a deal for the SMS6HCI02A.
The model you have linked has the smaller third sized cutlery tray attached to the middle basket, where the hCi in this deal has the full size cutlery tray. Both models will come with the cutlery basket.

  • best bang for the bucks I reckon, compared to the old eletrolux (westinghouse rebranded), bosch is a mile better haha

  • Now a deal for the black one , I keep looking but nothing
