Single player turn based RPG, no microtransactions.
Thanks, will give it a try.
You do know what this game is right?? It's very different from POE just fyi
@Fredfloresjr: The graphics are actually pretty good, but yeah it's more about the story and the characters. I found it to be like a tactical strategy game, more in the vein of xcom… just way more complex. I enjoyed it for something different, but it's definitely no D4 or poe.
If you're wanting something different but still want that isometric arpg gameplay (just not riddled with mtx / bad dev updates) here's a few I've found:
The Ascent
Batora: Lost Haven
Curse of the Dead Gods
Dandy Ace
Darksiders Genesis
Death's Door
Grim Dawn
Hades (1 & 2)
No Rest for the Wicked
Ruiner
The Slormancer
Torchlight 2@jk82: Torchlight 2 was good, shame about 3.
Curse of the dead gods was great.
Grim dawn is classic, not sure I could entertain a 4rh run.
Ascent looked great, got grindy after many good hours.
Nice list dude.@beeze: Yeah there's a few good ones in there… I keep returning to diablo 3 though (I know, I know, don't ask why lol, I've been playing it since launch haha).
If you haven't tried Slormancer yet defo look that one up! It's pretty good.
@jk82: You're wasting time on someone who judges games based on the graphics.
These guys probably refuse to watch any movies that are not 4K, heavily CGI dependent.@TheWetArmpit: I don't know about anyone else, but Baldurs Gate 3 looks miles better graphically than both PoE2 and Diablo 4. I assumed Fredfloresjr was just trolling at first when they said they asked if BG3 was pay to win and wanted to try BG3 after PoE2 and Diablo 4.
One of the only games I'd happily purchase at full price again. Any discount is a huge bonus, this game is incredible.
Took me around 150 hours for my first playthrough, and there were still things I missed. Not to mention all the new subclasses etc
200 hours in just started act 3. I must have spent 100 odd hours on min maxing my build, finding mods, attemping to go through same coversations over and over again to get best possible outcomes though. Have never played any dnd games before so only now learning not to do this.
Fair warning to anyone thinking of getting this. It can cause social isolation for months.
Great game, great price.
Also very much enjoyed Divinity Original Sin 2, Larian are fantastici think i brought it cheaper than this sometime before or around jan 2023?
still haven't played it haha
This price is current ATL. Game was also released mid-2023, so I think you might have your dates wrong
ah dec 2023 then
People who got it cheap from gog with VPN are laughing.
what about the ppl who pirated it?
(unless u can't play this offline singleplayer)
Genuinely one of the greatest games ever made.
There are very few modern video games I think are worth the purchase price but this is absolutely one of them.
My first real turn based game i ever played, have finished it twice and consider it one of the best games ever.
If you are thinking about it, just do itBetter than Clair Obscur: Expedition 33?
