  • OP, what is your plan for the weekend?

    • +10

      Debugging!

  • Reviews don't look too tempting "It feels like the game is missing a clear purpose or something meaningful to keep players engaged long-term. It’s really disappointing, especially after how much I enjoyed the demo."

    • Moonstone Island has ~30 hours of content to complete the main quest, and while we're a small team without the resources of something like Animal Crossing, we've designed the game to remain open-ended after the story concludes. In fact we've seen players put in over 200 hours - continue developing relationships, collecting and evolving Spirits, fighting increasingly tough battles in the infinite dungeon etc.

      Here is another Steam review:
I'm obsessed with this game! I could not stop playing when I first got it, and though I've completed the game and gotten all achievements, there is late-game content that I still go back to. And they keep adding free updates!
158.3 hrs on record (136.2 hrs at review time)

  • Any idea if/when Humble is gonna get more keys to fulfil the bundle this was included in?

Been trying to redeem it since March but they allegedly have no keys left to give and don't seem to be restocking.

I was not aware of this problem, I'll forward this question to the publisher.

  • Oh cool, didn't know this game had an Aussie working on it.

So OP, in hindsight, was including this game in the Humble Choice a good or a bad thing from a developer perspective? Would you do it again?

I do coding, so I don't really have an opinion on the financial side of things. Humble Choice brought in a lot of new players, which is always exciting!

  • How much do the devs get when a third-party platform is selling cheaper than Steam? Is it a proportion of the sale price or a flat fee?

I have no idea, I make computer beep boop beep beep boop.

      • Haha being an IT grunt, I know that feeling. Best of luck for the game!
