Yes its worth it, for anyone asking

    • +2

Wrong. It is worth $20, at least.

      • +3

It's worth hundreds. What a game.

this is a steal. highly recommend.

Meta Quest 3 for best experience. WiFi 6E 6GHz from Quest 3 to LAN, "Air Link".
Sorry, mixed with Half-Life Alyx. Its Friday, lol

    • Half-Life: Alyx also has a major discount at the moment.

  • They somehow made the zen levels even more annoying than the original in this remake. and the soundtrack sucks. but other than that it's pretty good I guess.

    • I actually thought some of their Xen levels were great, although they varied. Certainly their visuals were great.

  • will this run on my n100 minipc?

      I don't think so. But in any case, it's $3. That's half a coffee. Half-Price.

Save it to your library for when you get a Steam Deck.

Would be worth it if this game didn't stutter so much, even on a decent rig.

Get this if you haven't played it already

  • Never heard of this.
I didn't complete Half Life back in 2000, iirc I got as far as having to leap from boulder to boulder in space.
Was that anywhere near the end?

    • That’s the final major area though it’s fairly long. The Xen (alien dimension) levels are somewhat divisive and also the most-changed portion of this remake.

Cheers, there was Half Life and Deus Ex; both games I really enjoyed but didn't complete. I think there was something with the latter started getting a bit tedious and dragged the game out. But that was also what I felt about jumping rock to rock in Half Life.

Play Half-Life 2 first (the 'real thing') then this

      • +1

I've got the Orange Box. But play 2 before 1?

        • It’s possible the 2 was a typo and Wetsandwich meant to say Half-Life 1. HL2 works fairly well as a standalone game but it’s still better to have played the first game first.

It’d also be OK to play Black Mesa first but, while good, it’s substantially different and I’d recommend starting with the original if you don’t have a problem with old games. It’s one of the highest-rated games of all time for a reason (although some of its innovations may seem less impressive now that they’ve become standards).
