Not as good as 1&2 obviously, but still maintains the charm. Art style is a bit weird but ultimately works.
Puzzles not completely over challenging, humour still there, and about 10 hours long. As a fan of the series you'll like it.

I never appreciated when the series when 3D. For me the pinnacle was no. 3 the curse of …. Humour sorry humor was at its best. The animation/ art style is as spot on. Also having Gary Coleman voice an arms dealing child was chefs kiss.
Look 3D worked for grim fandango but me it was a step too far for the monkey island series.

The developer Terrible Toybox also has another LucasArt style game called Thimbleweed Park, which is also on sale.
Though admittedly, with the Steam Summer Sale currently in full swing, it's not hard to find stuff discounted atm.
Monkey Island will always get my upvote. First game I remember playing.

One day when i win a big, big lotto win, I'm just gonna financially back a Monkey Island movie knowing its different to POTC, just needs an excellent casting for Guybrush, and will do so well!
Too bad Disney own the rights to both Monkey Island and Porates of the Carribbean.
