Tangerine for Apple Watch Cellular?

Hi all,

I’m currently with Amaysim (prepaid) but looking to get an Apple Watch Cellular and link it up. The postpaid plans from the major telcos that support Apple Watch pairing all seem to start around $50+/month, which feels a bit steep.

I’m thinking of switching to Tangerine (which I understand runs on the Telstra wholesale network) and adding the Watch for an extra $10/month.
Just wondering if anyone here has this setup and how it's working for you? Also keen to hear how you find the Tangerine network/service in general.

TIA

Use BetterRoaming. It’s the only telco with a dedicated Apple Watch plan.

    Pro: It’s only $99/year
Con: It’s Vodafone and coverage can be varied

Good price - but won't that mean my AW is on a different phone number to my iPhone? No thanks

I moved from Boost to Tangerine for this. Works well. I chose the physical SIM card, which took a week to arrive. After it arrived, activating the watch took ½ hour/was instant.

It works. I go running with AirPods, and without the phone now. Phone calls all good.

    • Great, thanks for your thoughts
