Not seeing many discussions of the new ANA rewards booking system.
Anyone here would like to share the new one way rewards booking experiences? At least better than VA which has very limited availability to Tokyo.

If you're targeting business class and don't mind risking flying economy, ANA usually release business reward seats 2 weeks before departure. However economy reward seats are available quite far ahead in advance. What I've done is book a reward seat months in advance, then scope out business class seats when the departure date gets closer. Once they become available, I'll book the reward seats I need in business, then once I get a confirmation I'll cancel the economy reward seats. Cancellations cost around 6000 points or $50 per seat. Noting that you will need surplus points as a buffer to be able to book both.
