Can you play this solo as just a single player game, or do you have to get a crew together to play?
You can play solo piloting a sloop (1-2 player ship). It will still be multiplayer though so other crews can attack you
There is a Safer Seas mode nowadays that’s just your crew, lowers the risk and the reward for the cashing in treasure rates however
You can play on your own. Some of the 'tasks' do require more than one person however. When you have a crew of 2 and especially 4 the game becomes way more enjoyable.
Great price for this live service game. One of my favourite games. Highly recommend.
I've had this is my Wishlist for a number of years now, but on the fence about getting it. What's it like? It looks low-poly-cartoonish, is this suppose to be a kids game or is there more to it ?
Just like any game that has been out a while, just be prepared to deal with absolute sweats that will try so hard against you, casuals have mostly left this game, it’s mainly old timers that love the game.
i bought sea of thieves a while ago. use to play it a fair bit. But what's the deal with "2025 edition". is it a different game?
Just checked and shows i already have it in my library (so my original purchase must have turned into a 2025 edition).
