Recently got this installed with hardwire kit, noticeable improvement in video quality over the A129 Plus Duo I had. The software is also much more intuitive.

Yeah, I found someone off the Airtasker app for about $200. I previously installed the A129 (w/ hardwire) myself, but honestly getting it done professionally is a lot less hassle and they do a really clean install without blocking airbags or breaking any trim pieces/seals
Thanks. Yes don't want to do it on the family car and risk stuffing it up considering the purchase price of the car. For the everyday run about it's a different story and DIY would be fine.

Not the cheapest it has been. Its been cheaper than $288.
I recently installed it (with HW kit) and have been very happy with it so far. The only thing I had to do was buy a USB-C extension because the front-to-rear cable wasn't long enough for my ute. However, it would be sufficient for most sedans and SUVs.
