    The 9800x3d can run on Air coolers just fine (dependant on case, airflow, etc). But if you want that extra bit of performance and the aesthetic, then you can go an AIO.

      I got a ASUS ROG Ryujin III 360 for free do you think is it better sell this AIO and buy a better motherboard?

        It's a good cooler, but I would personally trade in the ROG and use the extra $$$ for a motherboard upgrade if possible. In the end it all comes down to preference!

    My 9800X3D runs fine with a Thermalright Peerless Assassin but still considering an AIO for aesthetics

      I got the AIO purely for aesthetics, although I'm on intel… the extra cooling won't hurt.
