PSN now accepts PayPal - US account will work

Previously you have to buy gift cards to access PSN US account,

Now that's history, you can pay with PayPal

Quote from ign

It came to Europe a while ago, and now PayPal for PlayStation Network purchases has come to North America. If you sign in to your PlayStation account on SonyEntertainmentNetwork.com, you can use PayPal to add funds to your wallet.

Why bother?

RRP is 20% lower than AU PSN

  • This is great news!

Not only can you purchase US content, you can now import US games and get DLC that will actual work with it.

  • Sick!

  • Sad i can't find anything to buy for my Vita

    bummer

  • Awesome, thanks for the heads up.

  • You could just buy prepaid US psn cards from Amazon like I have been for the past year.

The games are much cheaper on US PSN store and they have great specials as well. I picked up MGS Collection, Unit 13, and LBP Vita for around $15 each just after xmas, and AC:Liberation for $23 when it was on sale a week earlier.

Its a shame I dont actually have time to play all these great games :P

    • my game shame pile is also huge, got so many games ive never even played

  • So do I need to create a us paypal account???

    • Yeh u will need to have both accounts with details matching the same country. I had tried to buy with my Australian paypal account. It gets cancelled immediately from paypal. They dont tell you it just shows up on your history.

  • Well…Great News!!!

  • +1

So how does this work? Make a US psn account then purchase games/dlc off the US psn with your paypal accounr and thats it? Why would anyone use the AUS store then.
