  $40 at Aldi for a good 600 fill down jacket much better value? It's got a thin hoodie as but that's not lined with down but works for blocking wind etc.

  I saw it lying around from last Sat sale in couple Aldis near me.

      I have been using it, have used a Kathmandu one as well I feel no difference except the zipper which one Aldi is still very good but may be not as smooth as one on Kathmandu

    Uber light is very very light at around 230g and packs down to nothing. has 650 fill

      yeah these are great, very lightweight, pack down small. $80-90 is a good price.
      The uber version would get much more use IMO (and is still too warm for QLD most of the winter).
      I wear the vest version a lot more.

      Don't worry about the hoodie version, who ever wears the hood!

    Usually a Large in clothing and Halo i size down to a M. Uber I also got in a M which is slightly smaller but better for layering and more fitted. L uber although did feel good and better for putting hands in the pockets due to the extra length.

    I'd suggest size down. I have this one in an L and I normally wear XL or XXL in jackets.
