Looking to Replace My Roomba 880 and M6 – Advice on Roborock Models?

With the Amazon Prime discount and my Roomba 880 and M6 mop getting old but still working. I’m tempted to replace both machines.

The house is two storeys, with tiles downstairs and wood flooring upstairs. There’s a lot of furniture and the occasional small toy on the floor. The M6 mops the downstairs area, and the 880 vacuums upstairs. I still need to put in some elbow grease to make up for features these machines lack.

I understand that if I want the "holy grail" of robot cleaners, I might have to spend around $2,500. I’m open to that if it lasts five years, but my wife is content with something in the $1,500 range.

I’m feeling overwhelmed by the number of models and Reddit posts, which have a mix of positive and negative reviews and OzBargain will be similar in diverse opinionm but I still want to know what can OzBargain recommend.

Due to the wide variety of choices, I’ve narrowed my research to Roborock models. I’m currently looking at these two:

Roborock Q Revo Master Vacuum Cleaner – $1,399
Roborock Saros 10R Robot Vacuum and Mop – $2,499

Edit:
Some factors to consider.
8 and 9 year old
No pet
One robot per floor. For now, replacing upstair to clean wooden floor.

With model frequent update. How fast do price typically drop and by how much? Deepseek indicate Roborock Q Revo Master initial price was around low $2000 later 2024?

Q Revo Master seems like a great buy at the moment. I have the Edge C which has a lot of similarities and works well with mopping and vacuuming our tiled floor house. But it seems to get a bit lost sometimes. I think with the added camera on the Master, it would really good.

You can get another 3% off buying from the Roborock website. You might even find a code for 10%.

Are you thinking of buying one to cover both floors? or one robot per floor? I'd tend to agree with your wife re: price range based on your house layout.

    • One robot per floor. Buy one now for upstairs wooden floor because my wife is tired of retrieving the Roomba from under the bed when the battery die. The M6 mob for downstair is still working for now.

Yeh, good move. Sounds like you've got things sorted. Roborock Q Revo Master would be my pick for what it's worth.

I have an old 990 and am trying to do the same. I actually ended up purchasing an S8 MaxV, but had some delivery issues so can't tell you anything about it yet, and Amazon returns process has been incredibly frustrating.

There is a comparison spreadsheet for this on reddit you can review https://www.reddit.com/r/Roborock/comments/1ins8sz/a_spreads…

In my decision, I choose the best I could at the time, based on the specs. What I expect is a significant change in experience from my old bump and go model to a pathfinding one, so I don't think you need to Saros 10R, it's diminishing returns over the Q Revo Master

Consider how much you need to spend when it comes time to replace what you buy, though hopefully it also lasts a few years!

Just committed to the Saros 10R yesterday but that’s because I also want the latest + greatest.

Whichever you choose, get it direct from the roborock store cause you can get an extra 10% off with this coupon:
