Have bought a pair in the pass not sure if it's the same as these but the metal lace hooks snapped off after a few wears and they were very heavy compare to brands like Columbia.

      Pretty sure that's ALDI strategy,relatively low price with just enough warranty to convince you buy but not enough for you to actually bother making a claim.
