DeWALT 1300W Wet Dry Vacuum Cleaner - 45L Tough-Built Vac for Carpets, Couches, Hard Floors and Patios - Garage Blower with Drain Plug and Accessories, Ideal for Carpet Cleaning and Outdoor Use.

Basically a really nice and powerful vacuum cleaner. I got one to serve as a shop vac but there are obviously multiple uses for it with it being a wet/dry unit. You can also add a HEPA filter to it if you need to.

This unit comes with glowing reviews and this is the cheapest I've seen in a long time. I probably don't even need a 45L unit but for some reason it is cheaper than some of the smaller models at the moment.

Also, this is a corded unit in case you're wondering. Plug it to your electrical socket and go, no batteries required.

      Its when there is a power socket on the machine that you can plug powertools into.
      When you use the powertool the vacuum turns on automatically. Handy so you dont have to turn the vacuum on separately to remove dust while you sand stuff or whatever.

  Would this be good on carpets? My bedroom and lounge is mostly carpeted and I'm trying to find a decent budget vacuum

    A bit big but you probably won't get anything much more powerful at this price… I own a Dyson V10 as well and I'd say this probably beats it. Especially if you have lots of carpet as the battery on the V10 will run out way before you're done vacuuming.

  Price has dropped to $192. Also 23L is $139. Make sure you check how big these units are. Cancelled my 45L and brought the 23L due to size and price.
