Opinions Please on This Lenovo Yoga Laptop

Can anyone give me opinions on this Lenovo Yoga laptop? Pros and Cons.

Will be used for Microsoft Office, internet Browsing, watching movies on, doing work to sort out photo collections. Nothing crazy, but we want to future proof in case the kids need it for specialised high school computer subjects.

Thanks in advance!

And if anyone can point out an equivalent on the Lenovo website to take advantage of cashback that would also be great!

Equivalent on Lenovo's website. Currently $1,729 already cheaper than Centrecom (although 512GB SSD & Win11 Home vs 1TB SSD & Win11 Pro for the Centrecom model).

My daughter actually has the same unit since late last year. It's a great unit, except we've already had the motherboard replaced twice due to power related issue. Not sure whether we've just got a lemon but also got 3-year onsite warranty just in case.

    • I had an older model lenovo yoga - motherboard failed as well just out of warranty.

Bought a secondhand Carbon x1 off marketplace for $300 and it's been great ever since.

No bueno, get the 'same' model but with Ultra 258V, one gen after the one linked. O/work sold it for $1850

It's actually the right answer. Gen 10 with 258V has longer battery & better graphics which are more useful for everyday tasks.

    • Link please? I don’t want to look at the wrong one. Let’s just say that I am tech challenged 🥴

Officeworks price has gone up to $1997
If you have OnePass you get 5x Flybuys points, worth $50.

its $1989 to build the same specs from Lenovo, choose the 2nd one from the left - $1759 then change the CPU to 258V and 1TB SSD. When I did this it auto upgraded the RAM to 32GB and 2.8k 120hz OLED.

Can take off $50 if you don't want the stylus or -$60 for 512GB SSD (I'd keep the 1TB personally). Ships in 6-9 days.
Complaints I hear with the Yoga 7i 2-in-1 is the hinge eventually breaks, if its going to get heavy use or folded often, might be worth getting extra warranty VS spending time to get them to honor consumer laws.

    • agree with this, we had the intel and AMD models on sale for EOFY around $1800-1900

Thank you all! Ended up at JB Hi-Fi who matched Officeworks price and beat it by $50 in order to cover the $50 worth of flybuys I would have gotten from OnePass. Would have preferred it for $1850- but $1947 wasn’t too bad!
