      $39.60 here… and includes delivery.

      • -7

        Obligatory shut up jv

But also that's 39.60 for sub and save, and you need prime for free delivery (unless sub and save doesn't require prime?)

Also big w you can get points toward shopping at woolies and what not plus 5% off with everyday rewards (I believe). Plus can pay with cash - a good use of "unaccounted for cash jobs"

        • +1

You have to walk into bigw just for that. I mean in most cases before the offer runs out. Plus who does not have prime subscription?

          • @John Doh: I don't have prime. I assume lots of others don't. Then again I do borrow my brothers prime account…

              @Some Random Guy:

I do borrow my brothers prime account

Then you are eligible. Most people are prime owners. No point shutting @jv up, he was right. And in most cases if you keep an eye on offers, the prime almost pays itself back. YMMV. I would rather give up ebay plus over prime. The only reason I keep ebay plus is because they give a good gift voucher everytime i try to cancel.

plus 5% off with everyday rewards

          Rubbish

  • +3

Slightly better value for money with this Cold Power 4kg
And even better value for money with this Fab 4kg

    • +6

omo ultimate is the highest rated laundry detergent so i'll take that one.

Omo was rated 86% and cold power was rated 74%

      • +5

Yeah, agreed - OMO is a far superior quality detergent.

      • -2

        Sauce?

        • Source?*

          • @Some Random Guy: Sure there are plenty of sources. I'd go with the chemist.

"Personally, I wash at 20°C with half the recommended dose of a pleasant-smelling laundry powder, packaged in recyclable cardboard, and containing a wide range of enzymes and an activated peroxide source."

@PvsNP: You just linked an article that said powders are usually better than liquids (but there's less bulk product in powders) and "I wash my clothes with laundry detergent" which don't provide any info to back why OMO is better.

Tldr read the spec sheet, don't fall for "choice winners" advertising/scam, and wash your clothes with no need for expensive product

              • @Some Random Guy: Yes, it never did mention OMO. But a quick AI search concluded it's OMO.

I myself am waiting to just finish an off the shelf detergent and make my own powder. Since I don't tend to have heavily soiled clothes.

This would be the recipe :
                Ingredients

                1 bar pure soap (grated)
1 cup washing soda (lectric soda)
                2 cups bicarbonate of soda
up to 20 drops of eucalyptus oil, or if your budget can extend to it, lavender oil

  • Best value for money vs Aldi's offerings which is way cheaper?

    • +1

I wonder if anyone compared costco's to other laundry detergents if you have access? 50$ for 13KG seems cheap.

      • I am going to try this bad boy. Reviews look good.

        • Good luck!

    • I can tell you the OMO Sensative liquid is the same product as Aldi Trimat sensative liquid. Can't comment on powder but can only assume the same.

  • -1

Isn't the 4l of liquid a better deal for $26.55?

    • +4

each 1kg of powder is like 30 washes, 4L of liquid is 80

    • Every detergent is solid as room temperature. Thus liquid detergents are solids suspended in liquid… you get the picture (more non detergent liquids than solids)

      • -1

You are forgetting that the powder also contains about 20% in powdered surfactants. So it's not all detergent, as you say. You can look up the active ingredients

        • Perfect

Now all we have to do is find the powdered detergent that is 100% detergent!

  • +1

I've been getting these for a couple of years now. Can be a bit of a chore reaching in to get the dregs as there's a bag inside the tub. Find a smaller a smaller tub with a hinged lid that you can keep on the counter and just refill it periodically.

    • Last time I got this I cut the bag and removed

      • Yeah I considered it, but couldn’t be bothered.

I should be honest though, my main gripe is that the edges of the lid are just kind of sharp for my delicate man hands.

        • +1

Yes the lid is pretty crappy

  • Back in stock

  • Ordered last week, delivery on the 30th. Location Sydney.

I have laundry anxiety as I wash 30 loads a week. Do not use powder. Use Liquid. Powder will not break down well for cold cycles. You'll have residue that you can't see in your cottons.

    A heads up, Dynamo 7-in-1 4L has 80 washes for S&S 21.15
My rough calcs make the slightly cheaper per wash than this offer. https://amzn.asia/d/i3UpSzu

  • Back in Stock.

Think i'll stick to 4kg aldi for $5.

  • 15kg fab for $44 at costco

  • Not the best detergent out there.. we switched a while ago from OMO (liquid) to Fab and the washes are so much better.. Kids clothes sometimes with OMO used to come out smelly after a wash as OMO couldnt remove the odour.. no such problem with Fab which has a pretty good fragrance and the clothes actually smell good.

If you have Costco membership, you can get like a 6.6L bottle for I think $24, otherwise the one below from BigW
