Black appears to be out-of-stock.

White available here: https://www.amazon.com.au/Belkin-BoostCharge-Wireless-Compat…

I have the 5000mAh version, which looks to be a similar form-factor. Well built, nice design.

This is even cheaper, and according to CamelCamelCamel, has never been anywhere close to this cheap since last year.

Is this CCC certified?(Genuinely asking because I'm travelling to China in Sep.)

    • +2

I have this and it is not CCC certified. My tip is to leave all your powerbanks at home and buy one from Xiaomi in China.

There are plenty of stores everywhere and I bought one for $35 - works great.

Yes they do check and yes they do confiscate non CCC powerbanks. I just came back from Chongqing and my power bank was inspected but they saw it was Xiaomi and waved us through. The bloke with an ESR behind us was not so lucky…..

  • Got the $45 price and it said 4 were left, by the time I'd paid it was out of stock and they'll notify me when delivery is available.

Got a $10 discount so a great pickup- thanks OP.

  • Still there for me..

  • Oh gosh out of stock I need one.😫

    • You can still get it from Harvey Norman

    • I'm going to remove it from my cart - might pop up for you

I am gobsmacked to discover that despite claiming the devices delivers 15w wireless charging, that is only WHILE IT IS PLUGGED IN! When you use it for what most folks assume it is for, ie a portable charger, it can only do 7.5w. That is some seriously misleading advertising!

    • Ref: the specs page: https://www.belkin.com/au/p/magnetic-power-bank-with-qi2-15w…
"Use the power bank as a portable charger to enjoy fast wireless charging benefits of Qi2 with up to 15W of power for iPhone 15 and other Qi2-enabled devices (up to 7.5W in power bank mode)."

    • For folks who need real 15w mobile wireless charging, check the competitors - Anker does it apparently. I see there's also a UGreen offering (idk about this issue for it though).

According to this dude reviewing this Belkin. He had an Anker which will charge at 15w but throttles after "some time"

Belkin probably went with a cooler approach, but then someone else said Belkin was hotter.

        • Yeah maybe wireless just generates too much heat and Belkin is being more responsible about it. It can't be good for the batteries in either the phone or the powerbank. I think I'll steer clear of wireless charging until battery tech changes away from lithium ion.

        • Also maybe a powerbank plus a corded wireless charging puck would be a better setup as it would allow more ventilation at the back of the phone

    • What. No. So it's not any different to the 5000mAh one. That is absolutely misleading!!

    • Probably better for battery anyways. From what I read the Apple one also acted as a slow charger to keep your phone topped up around 80%.
