  • I've found these better than Sandisk high endurance.

    • Interesting, if you don't mind can you elaborate?

      • +2

Had a series of Sandisk fail by corrupted data in my dashcams and outside cams in less than 12 months. Plus a sandisk fail a few years ago, which they replaced.
I reckon there are good and bad batches and some brands prefer particular brands. Ive seen dashcam sites reccomend against Sandisk. And there seems to have been a drop off in quality since the takeover by WD. Though it's been spun off as a separate entity now.
SPs in 2 cams have gone well so far. (Fingers crossed).
I replace sd cards each 12 months in my cars, since they are so critical.

Silicon power is shit. I bought 15 for reolink/tp-link cams and 10 of them have died within 9 months.

    • Damn glad I got sandisks last week

    • Complete opposite here, 6x128GB silicon power elite (which is the cheaper one), installed in cameras for over a year no issues. I can view footage locally or remotely, everything works great.

  • +1

I bought a silicon power SSD (so not an SD card) but the HDD broke within months and I didn't even use it more than a few times.

Both of mine died within months as well. Samsung and sandisk still going strong, think some of them might even be 10 years now.

  • This isn't expired… Still 30% off list price

    • Cheers for the heads up :)
