Got these slightly lower $36 last July. Used about 10 times on flights ranging from 8-16 hours and it's pretty good. Better than Trtl i reckon.
I'm a light sleeper and don't usually sleep even for night flights but this with Sony NC HP are my goto to get a few hours of zzz. Better than nothing

Some people in previous posts have mentioned the neck is too high as well as it being difficult to wear over ear headphones with them. No issues?

      • +2

I think it depends on your head and the size of your headphones, but I found them alright.

      • +9

I personally found this not to be compatible with over-ear headphones (possibly it depends on whether you have a really long neck or not?) YMMV

        • +1

I'm the same but I sleep with my head to one side, so over-ears struggle regardless. I've used inflatable and memory foam neck pillows, inflatable a lot more portable, but memory foam/cabeau better IMO.

Can highly recommend a sleep mask in conjunction with a neck pillow - taking light changes away help me sleep better.

        • Any recommendations on other ones that suit OTE headphones?

      • +1

Other than individuals' height, neck, head. etc, it depends if you latch this on the headrest. Latching it can reduce the adjustability and may not work for shorter people

I definitely had issues using the XM4's. It does go quite high up. It still worked but yeah was not the best.

      • +1

I definitely noticed this, it wasn't too bad though, you can just kinda tuck in the headphones under the pillow. I will say, having just had about 40hrs of flights in the last few weeks (15hr flight was the longest), the pillow helps, but I feel like there must be better out there. I found it pretty hard to find a good sleeping position. Maybe because I refuse to move my seat back at all - would be easier if you did that

      • +1

        This is very true.

You can't comfortably wear Sony XM3/4/5/6 headphones with these or other ANC headphones; instead, you'd have to use in-ear ANC headphones instead.

If you insist on wearing headphones, they will be 1/2 off and tilted backwards at a 45 degree angle

That said, the cabeau is very, very comfortable and sturdy.

  • Thanks, got two for upcoming flight to Europe!

  • I have the Evo Cool 2.0, enables me to sleep for a lot longer now!

  • +3

Bought previously and personally don't recommend, they retain too much heat and became too uncomfortable to use after 30 minutes.

    • +1

Agree, I bought due to a lot of good review but not for me. It's retain too much heat so I can't use it at all.

Lol fly business class and save your money on this.

      Joe Hockey is that you?

    • +11

or, just buy your own private jet and you won't have an issue at all

      • damn, smart. Kim is that you? Can we go get in n out burger?

    • Lol $32 vs $1000 pp x rest of life.

  • +1

Using one of these in Europe now. Tried a few others including trtl and it’s definitely better. It folds up very small as well and easily latched onto carry on.

  • +1

Anyone used this and TRTL? Which is better?

  • Got one thanks OP. Been on the fence of getting a travel pillow but paying $60+ is crazy to me willing to try at this price.

  • +2

Can personally vouch for these, actually managed to sleep which I rarely do otherwise on a long haul trip.

  • Bought one a few years ago and not a fan, gets super hot and uncomfy.

  • +1

any one ever wash one of these? what is your experience like? thanks

  • I prefer the Sea to Summit Aeros Premium Traveller Pillow - it folds down into a tiny (supplied) case and can be inflated to your desired "pressure", and weighs less than 100g. It has a "fleece" feel to it and smooth edges (unlike the Ultralight version). These foam pillows are too bulky and hot/sweaty for me.

anyone else buy a cheap version of this, just so they could put it on sit in a chair and close their eyes and pretend they were flying somewhere first class. πŸ™πŸ˜‚

    • Ask the expert @SpeedRunnerLink.
Seems he has been doing that alot

      • ok I'm assuming they are referring to how in first class they have better rules or something. like no crying babies and tiktok meltdowns allowed.

I've never flown first or business or casual but that's just what I think.

I did watch that clip though of some recent guy in the US got drunk, was doing weird sh&t and they had to land the plane and get security to drag him off. that was in casual class so they do have some limit for the crap they tolerate. apparently flight attends deemed him a danger to the flight.

  • If you are a short person over the ear headphones probably won't work. If you are average or taller height then these are perfect!

Evo cool is better for a firm touch, this one is a bit more plush.

Try them on in a retail store beforehand and then get it on Amazon for half the price.

what if you have no neck. 🀣

      • Congrats you are a short king!

        • just saying you didn't mention about neck, or no neck. not everyone is just short or tall. some are.. wider. πŸ’β€β™€οΈ

I bought these in the past and they are very good. I am very rarely able to sleep on a plane but these (coupled with a good blackout eyemask) enabled me to snag a few hours on our last flight. The fact that they attach to the back of your seat is great, it means your head doesn't start flopping all over the place. I was never uncomfortable with regards to temperature.

  • for anyone looking for something to go with this.

look up xiaomi dreamlight 2S. I saw it for $10 on Aliexpress. newer versions also available.
