I've been with RACV for ages and made maybe 10 claims (about 7 no fault car incidents in the past 3 years, and a few minor claims on house and car over the past 30+ years) since people keep hitting my car since Covid, and one to do with the house), which have been sorted out fairly well.
After a recent incident that they didn't handle so well (not looking after a long time multi policy client), I'm wondering what other "non budget" insurers are out there to offer good levels of insurance and at least give me some bargaining power / alternatives to go to. I know we lost NRMA.
Can anyone suggest where to start? I haven't looked at changing insurance in a long time.
I see there's CanStar but I think that's a commercial group being paid to specially promote some companies.

Most of those claims were no fault car incidents that have happened since Covid.
I've had a few people hit my car while I was driving (one was paying attention to their bag on the passenger seat, one changed lanes without checking if there was a car there).
I've also had a heap of people hitting my car in various car parks.
The worst was a driver who couldn't get into a spot. Instead of then backing straight into an empty spot behind them, they turned as they reversed, didn't go into the 2nd empty spot, didn't hit the car next to me, and then reversed at speed into my car, which was 3 spots away from where they'd been trying to get in.
So no, I'm not causing accidents and this isn't stuff that is costing my insurer.
It has been unsettling.
10 claims? It seems like they're intentionally giving bad service so that you stop renewing with them.
