Recommend Wide-Leg, Mid/Calf/Tall Boots, with a Good Cost-Quality Ratio?

That. Any recommendations for a good boot, that's:

Mid/calf/tall - above 'ankle' basically.

Wide-calf: chunky monkey

All-rounder - if you can go for a walk around the block in them, without switching to your sneakers, bonus. Also if they don't shy away from a bit of dirt. Don't mind uglier for better utility. But i'm still talking 'fashion', NOT 'work boot'.

Comfortable: flat heel or close

I probably don't have leather money, - but please recommend them - unless second hand. But i've heard there are varying levels of 'pleather' quality. What shoes are quality 'fake leather'?

Thanks!

What do Williams and the likes of Colorado have to offer?

A lot of theirs tend to have an elastic insert in them to augment the leather.

It's been a few years now, but I have a knee length leather pair that were about $100 and I think were part of a promotion for buy one get one free.

How about stores who cater for bigger sized clothes? Do they also sell footwear?

Checked on eBay? Ask seller for calf circumference of boot?

And don't worry about "chunky monkey"

A few seasons ago I was after knee high red leather boots.

Can't remember what label they were now, but the ones I ordered were definitely for my size and cost $600 from England, I think? (Didn't want to spend that much, but really wanted red boots and they were the only ones I could find anywhere!)

Sure, they fit my foot, but NFI whose calves were supposed to fit into them! Maybe a slender chair leg? An anorexic goat?

Had the same problem with some mid calf black prada boots too.

It's not a chunky monkey thing. I think some of these designers just haven't seen a real female person's leg.
