    Quick review for those interested:

They're more than bright enough for lamps, and with decently natural colour for white shades. With colour, they're usable at best, but stray far from the likes of philips hue or lifx.

For connectivity, they're reliable and work fine with apps (there's many to choose from) or voice assistants. They do have slight delay though since they don't support local control.

For those using home assistant, i believe there's a HACS workaround to getting them to work locally.

    • How do they compare to RGB Yeelights that were popular on OzB in the past?

      • +1

let's hope someone here has used both, and offers to chime in.

No local control is a big red flag 🚩

      • if they are using Tuya, and you use home assistant, you can bring them in locally.

Worth noting these are $5 each on Laser's own website

    • +4

The ones that are $5 on Laser's own website are the single coloured white ones, not the RGB ones as per OP's post.

        Shipping fee kills it!

        • I just got free shipping for my $30 purchase. I’m in Sydney metro.

Do they make them in downlights?

Edit: They do but they are way too expensive

Does the app let you select a colour temperature or is it one of those useless sliders/choose your colour swatches?

    • +2

These are RGBCCT bulbs. And they have a proper colour temp selection.

I think your negative experience might be with bulbs that don't have proper white LEDs and try to simulate it with colour.

  • Any have a link to buy online? I found the single ones but can't find the 6 packs.

    • Unable to check/find stock online but managed to buy an RGB E27 6 Pack at Taigam and there was one RGB B22 6 Pack left on the shelf. I certainly hope they can be voice controlled locally.

      • That's Taigum.
