  • Thanks op.
Bought the shampoo from the last deal and this is now my new favourite.

  • Same as Dove, scores badly on Yuka (37/100), contains endocrine disruptors, irritants and allergens.

Any recommendations for an inexpensive shampoo?

      • Found this one at Aldi:

          AI Overview
          +4
Aldi's Hair Tresses Daily Cleanse & Replenish Shampoo is a popular, budget-friendly option that is often compared to TRESemmé's Cleanse & Replenish line according to reviews on Beautycrew.com.au and Facebook. It's formulated with Pro Vitamin B5 and Aloe Vera to help retain moisture, restore shine, and strengthen hair. Many users find it leaves hair feeling clean, soft, and manageable, with a pleasant fragrance. It's also noted for being gentle enough for daily use and suitable for the whole family. Some users have reported it being particularly effective for oily hair, helping to extend wash day frequency.
          Key Features and User Experiences:
          Affordable and widely available:
Aldi frequently offers special buys, making it a cost-effective choice.
          Moisturizing and gentle:
The shampoo is designed to cleanse without stripping hair of its natural oils, with the added benefits of Pro Vitamin B5 and Aloe Vera.
          Pleasant fragrance:
Many users enjoy the scent of the shampoo, often comparing it to more expensive brands.
          May cause build-up:
Some users have mentioned that it can build up over time, requiring the use of a clarifying shampoo occasionally.
          Potential for irritation:
While generally gentle, some users with sensitive scalps have reported irritation from ingredients like Methylchloroisothiazolinone and Methylisothiazolinone, which are also found in some other Aldi products.
          Comparison to TRESemmé:
Many reviews highlight the similarity in performance and results to TRESemmé's Cleanse & Replenish line, but at a lower price point.

    • You look like someone who knows their shampoos. Any recommendation for all in one shampoo that keeps the hair and scalp clean without harmful substances

      • -2

I've tried a lot of healthy options, especially natural / vegan shampoo bars (which are easy to find with a quick search) and they all failed me. My scalp is terrible and I haven't been able to find an alternative. But a number of them have really good ratings from a lot of users, so worth trying. They may be expensive but bars usually last for ever. I wish I could recommend options, but doesn't hurt warning.

      • Have you heard of a Zingiber ginger plant? I keep one in the greenhouse I squeeze and collect natural shampoo from it, kinda like aloe vera but runny. I also grow and use aloevera and blend it into a shampoo paste, just add a drop of whatever natural oil you want the smell to be. Lavender, Mint, Rosemary…

        • I haven't, thank you for the tip!

    • @Sebajun what would you recommend..?

Everything will kill you (irritate you) type of approaching. I think the key is maintaining low stress and don't use shampoo/conditioner every day. These ones (and akin) are usually my goto, some other natural brands are far more expensive and similar ingredients.

  • The shampoo ships to my regional address but conditioner doesn't…

The conditioner is also not s&s
Just get from CW and you can choose from other types as well.

  • Does the bottle from amazon sale have a dispenser top? Or do you have to tip the bottle to use?

    • It's got a flip top kind of cap, but you could maybe use old bottles and dispenser if you keep.
