Hi, I don't often use the drill, but when I do, I find my drill bits really crappy.
I need a set for drilling into wood and steel. Last time I needed to drill a bolt out, my bits broke.
What are some decent quality drill bits that don't break the bank?

Long story short - Don't go Craftright, they are rubbish. I have used Ryobi or Full Boar. I have found them to do the job pretty well and they don't break the bank. Yeah, I have had some break, but not as much as Craftright.
Banks are very profitable, don't worry about breaking them. Sutton are a good choice that's readily available.

you can buy a full quality set for about $150
Full Board cobalt set from Bunnings is quite good value. Bits last a long time especially if you're drilling steel. Standard HSS bits just don't last as long.
Most cheap HSS are good for wood and crap on steel.
Buy good quality for HSS and make sure you get really good quality for the 1/8, 1/4, 5/32 and 5mm and 10mm sizes as these are very common use sizes.
For wood use a cheap set, but make sure you make the good ones so you do not use the wood ones on steel.
Frost or Sutton Drill bits. Buy the sizes you need rather than sets.
