TA's Tracking Tips:

  • Prior to using TopCashback, disable/remove all 3rd party plugins (AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole, Honey, etc), VPNs, and avoid browsers such as Brave.
  • For iOS device: Apart from ensuring you’re not using an AdBlock app for Safari, the most important one is to ensure you have ‘Prevent Cross-Site Tracking’ turned off (see here).

What will stop me getting my cashback

  • SIM must be activated within 30 days of purchase in order to be eligible for cashback.
  • Cashback is eligible on initial purchase only, and not on any recharges.
  • Cashback is ineligible on use of any codes not approved and posted by TopCashback.
  • Cashback is ineligible on use of gift cards for payment and/or purchase of gift cards.
  • Cashback is ineligible on purchases made via the retailer's mobile app.

What else is essential

  • Cashback is paid once per order/transaction, regardless of the number of plans purchased on that order.
  • Engaging with plugins such as Honey, AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole, VPNs, and browsers such as Brave may prevent your order from tracking.
  • You must always return to TopCashback and click the pink cashback button through to the retailer's website for each new transaction. Ensure the TopCashback link is the last one used to visit the retailer's website prior to completing your purchase.
  • Any accounts that engage in fraudulent orders/activities to game/cheat the cashback system will be banned and cashback forfeited.

  • Felix good, TCB good. Am I turning my nose up at this deal in light of recent free/profit sims? I think I am.

  • +1

Warning: they don't have a customer service phone line

    • Only way to contact them is through live chat. They will respond when they feel like it. I remember one time it took them over a day.

      • +1

Yeah I had a disgusting experience from last deal and if it would have been a day's delay you're good but it took several days wait each time and at the end they never replied no matter how many times I messaged. Calls were in vain too. It was about a port in so was left without service for weeks till I had to go to a different carrier. Only after I threatened via email that I'm going to complain to TIO I finally got a response. You're basically left helpless

        • +1

I feel ya. Once all set up, it works, no complaints. If it wasn't for the 50% off promos I would have switched ages ago.

        • Can add onto this, they do probably do their best.. considering they're specifically marketing themselves having Australian customer support.

Tried to get into chat twice, waited 20-40 minutes each time.

I did not mind, as once i got connected, they were generally helpful. Better than Optus customer support (message).

          • @Pat Rick: Not sure when this was but there is no live chat nowadays so you cannot get connected

            • @Big-Deal: The webpage mentions live chat:

You can contact the felix mobile team via live chat in the felix mobile app or on our website.

Give us a shout via the felix mobile app
Our Sydney based team is here 7 days a week from 9am – 6pm.

              • @trixieb: Hmm interesting they call it a live chat when the chance of getting an instant response is next to none

                • @Big-Deal: There are very few companies I've come across that are instant response with live chat. Amazon and eBay are probably the ones I can think of where the waiting time is minimal.

I've waited a while with live chat with Boost, Telstra, Amaysim, JB Hi-Fi, Medibank Private, Everyday Rewards etc.

                  • @trixieb: You mean you wait in the chat window for a response from the same agent? That's the definition of a live chat right and anything else is just a chat/message not live. For phone services where urgencies occur there needs to be a way of instant communication. I'm sure Boost, Telstra, Amaysim have phone lines for that

                    • @Big-Deal:

You mean you wait in the chat window for a response from the same agent?

Yes. The wait times can be long for those companies I mentioned to live chat to a real person. I've waited more than an hour with all of them, when they were busy. Several hours wait with a few of them eg Medibank Private & JB Hi-Fi (during sales).

Felix doesn't appear to have a phone number to call. That seems to be the difference.

Boost, Telstra and Amaysim have a phone number but I've also had to wait. Sometimes it's a long wait and have to check that the phone is charged before calling.

                      • @trixieb: I've had good experiences with Boost recently (last ~6 months) albeit specifically with activations. I get connected to an agent immediately.

Used to be (1+ year) terrible, sometimes 30mins+ wait but credit to Boost they have definitely rectified that.

                        • @wavesgreen: That's great. I've never had "instant" live chat with Boost. Telstra is usually a longer wait than Boost.

                          • +1

@trixieb: When in the chat with the bot I just ask for agent help and I get connected immediately (agent name appears at the top) and then the agent responds a few moments later, usually before I've even finished typing out my activation request details.

  • I get close to full bars on Vodafone but connectivity is always flaky in my area.

  • They deactivated my number after only 3 months, be careful.

    • +1

      Just checked:

      Deactivation:
If you don't use your SIM for 90 days (no calls, texts, or data), it will be deactivated.

  • Can you port away before receiving the cashback?

    • Yes.

  • I got an error message saying esim code has been used. However I couldn't get the esim activated in the first instance. Anyone got the same problem?
