I bought this projector recently in the last bundle deal. Big upgrade from my previous Epson lamp based projector. I'm pretty new to projectors as the one I had previously simply came with the house I bought recently, but I'm totally hooked now.

Recommend to check the throw distance calculator for your setup:

Also, here is YouTuber "The Hook Up" recommended settings:

Also check out the Hook Up’s screen guide to best avoid/minimise speckle, which is a thing with these tri laser projectors

Which Epson did you upgrade from? I have the Epson TW-9400 and I'm not sure that the VisionMaster Pro 2 is enough of an upgrade to make the upgrade worth it?

Do you notice the DLP 'rainbow effect' when watching films with the VisionMaster Pro 2?

      • +1

That's the exact model I upgraded from! And I was worried about the rainbow effect also, having read so much about it online but neither myself nor my wife has seen anything so I guess we're ok.

Honestly we have both been blown away by the picture. Watched Dune 1 & 2 and some older films like Heat so far. Looks superb in every way. The detail is incredible. The black levels have impressed me the most. I'm more than pleased with the upgrade.

Sorry I'm dumb. I actually upgraded from a TW-5700, so probably a bit of a bigger upgrade for me
