this or the bunnings gorilla carts?
I got a poly dump gorilla cart - looked great on brochures but it handles like a pregnant donkey especially under load. I wouldn’t recommend for normal suburban yards. More suited to wide open spaces.
Whilst I appreciate your review and attempt at a relatable analogy, I must say I am unfamiliar with how a pregnant donkey handles…. and is it the pregnant donkey that handles badly under load,… or just the dump gorilla cart, or both?
depends on your application. the polycart is soft, too soft. hauling heavy things in it is not great. eg mixed concrete makes the sides bow out, cant really load it up with things like bags of concrete, or heavy dirt (fresh clay) etc like you can traditional wheel barrows. great for green waste tho.
I agree with Jim, the handling is a bit funny at times, esp on hills but the frames on this looks very similar so id expect to behave the same
Depends which Gorilla cart. The 170l steel mesh cart is more than twice the price and probably better (based on reviews) but I'm still holding it for that to go on clearance at a much more palatable price.
I have a 2 (hard plastic) wheeled poly Gorilla cart (~$70 IIRC) similar to a wheelbarrow that has served me well in moving (unmeasured) tree logs that would tip out if not balanced adequately, 100kg of pool salt, 100-130L soil without any sign of flexing/bowing. Perfect for mixing potting mix and up potting plants. The only handling issue is when i have too much, too long objects, balanced on top of the poly tub. Great cart but doesn't seem to be available anymore (locally).

found the Tongan
350kg? Yeah right. The cheap Chinese bearings would disintegrate. And the tyres would be last long with even 200kgs on board, let alone 350kgs. Most ppl couldn't move this with that weight on board.
it'd be nice if they showed a closeup of the tyres because then you could work out what the max laden weight is if the tyres are halfway reputable
but i mean look at it this way… an avg. person is what? 80kg? does anyone reckon you could get the weight of 4 people on board not taking into account the size of the people?
put another way i've put 500kg into like a CRV or that sort of softroader and they werent happy about it
You may get it to support 350kg once. Maybe even carefully move that load a short distance over a flat hard surface. But no way it it going to do it on a regular basis.
Thanks for posting, got one.
yeah the reviews suggest suitable for lightweight rather than 350kgs lol
Any good for moving decorative rocks?
no, only non-decorative rocks
Does it fold up to go in a saloon car boot?
Ive got the bunnings version of this. These are very easy to overturn and a little janky. I get heaps more use out of my beach trolley, and at least I can fold that up when im done with it
The cyber truck of beach trolleys.
This is pretty epic. I just moved houses over the weekend and a key star tool was my beach trolley (rated weight capacity of only 80kg, which reached capacity a few times but never skipped a beat) - this would have been even better. Bloody useful things for many different applications and use cases.
