That's going a bit overboard there mate. Cheaper is cheaper to plenty of people. For me, post office is 25 minutes and that includes a 10 minute drive each way.
Sorry for not posting the total price in the title it is our first post. The price is actually $173 and it's 31% off and includes free shipping. Being a true oz bargainer I order lots of stuff online and the post office NEVER delivers to my door (I live in an apartment) but to make it worse they NEVER give me the slip, so I get to watch my items on online tracking get carded but I don't get the card it is so frustrating. I hate you Australia Post.
Anyway this watch looks handy for someone who hikes a lot, I am looking for one that also does distance and speed (like a gps watch, but most don't come with a compass). It would be good to have a watch that can be used for all physical activities like running, cycling, hiking.
This happens to us too and it really pisses us off because someone is always home though we do get carded most of the time. Eventually after constant phone calls complaining to Aussie post one of their customer service people told us that Aussie post do not deliver packages to units, they will card you without even attempting delivery.
I guess working 6 hours a day and taking 3 tea breaks and 5 smokos doesn't allow enough time to do the job you are paid to do.
Watch seems ok but at that price I would want GPS to track my distance, then it would truly be a hiking watch. Barometer seems like a silly feature and Altimetre, meh, distance and heading is what you need when hiking / outdoor adventuring.
Our LPO always complains more than us when we have a whinge about being carded when we are actually home. They said it's the fact that most deliver vans ae actually contractors, and to save time, they just card & drop off at the post office, therefore doubling there workload.
We do have SUUNTO Ambit Watch that has built in GPS, Compass and the usual Altimeter, Barometer etc (and you can also have HRM). Again i believe we have the cheapest prices in Australia and FREE Delivery over $99.
