Officeworks Price Match on Apple AirPods Pro 2nd Gen – Has Anyone Done It?

Hi OzBargainers,

I’m planning to purchase the Apple AirPods Pro 2nd Gen (USB-C model MTJV3ZA/A) and came across a few eBay listings from Australian-based sellers offering it brand new for as low as AU $99.00, with immediate local shipping.

Officeworks advertises a price match policy for identical in-stock items sold by local retailers — and eBay Buy It Now listings seem to qualify in many cases. Has anyone here successfully had Officeworks match eBay sellers for AirPods or similar Apple products?

Specifically keen to know:

Does the seller need to have an ABN or provide a tax invoice for OW to match?

Do they accept listings without returns/warranty info?

What proof did you provide (screenshots, links, etc)?

Any hiccups with store reps challenging the match?

Would really appreciate your experience or tips — especially if you've pulled this off with tech/audio gear.

Thanks in advance!

    as low as AU $99.00

99% chance of being fake. Common problem on eBay.

Identical products and services includes that they must have the same conditions of purchase, including manufacturer’s warranty and accessories

Apple warranty is unlikely to be honoured for random eBay sellers

Yeah, no way they’re going to price beat a random seller on eBay.
There’s no chance the the ones they’re selling for $99 are legit AirPods

They won’t price match random resellers.
Imagine the loop hole if they did:
Me wanting to buy a $4000 product.
Me making a listing on eBay for that product at $5 delivered.
Me showing it to OW to price match.
    Profit?
