Are UltraLife Multivitamins Any Good?

In this case, it's apparently a Coles brand.
No vitamin tablets can replace eating the right foods.
Hence MultiVitamins are totally unecessary and in most cases unhelpful.
They are just a marketing Gimmick. However if you are low on a particular vitamin for some reason, that is the time to top it up
Depends on the ingredients, most multi-vitamins are technically the same, you need to get tests done on yourself on what you're lacking. People think consuming a multi-vitamin each day will be some miracle pill, it really isn't.
If you're healthy but lacking vitamin D, a multi-vitamin could be a waste of money, just go buy vitamin D tablets.
In saying that, you need to look at the ingredients and how many mg per ingredient is, for example if the multivitamin state 15 micrograms of vitamin D per pill, this might not be enough in 1 pill, you may need to consume 2 pills, BUT you also got to see the other ingredients.
Your body will expel unwanted vitamins.
You just need to understand what you're lacking then shop from there, cause "UltraLife" may be good for one person, may not with you.
For example: With me, I need to buy triple strength fish oil tabs, consume 2 tabs per day to meet my goals. If I buy the normal fish tabs, I would need to consume 6+ tabs per day to get my required dose of fish oil.
Sure they're good, but you'll need to compare the label with those on other brands as well to work out what's best for you.
Dif supplements have dif levels of comparable ingredients, a blood test is probably the best way to work out how much of which supplement your body needs.
Other considerations:
1: some of those multis are the size of horse tablets whilst some are quite tiny. Some people say that size matters, does it matter to you? What is the composition of your preferred supplement? Gel? Capsule? Hard chalky stuff? Regular tablet composition? Does this matter to you?
What is the dosage of each measured portion/tablet? How many tablets do you need to take to achieve your desired dosage? Some brands may require two tablets per dose whereas this may be equivalent to just one tablet in another brand.
Remember that only ADEK are fat soluable, the rest you pee out any excess you may consume each day, so be cautious of overdose in the ADEK, but no need to plan ahead/build up reserves for the rest.
Final things to consider, vitamin C affects the absorption rates of Vyvance, so if taking both, separate the doses to two hours apart. Think this also applies to Dex as well, not sure about other stimulants though.
Need iron? Gotta take it with vitamin C to aid absorbency.
Oh, and Folate? Unlikely enough in a multi. For best efficacy, current recommendations are 5mg a day for brain health in addition to whatever pregnancy requirements dictate. Check with doc.

Are you the one wearing the singlet or the white coat?
If you're the one in the white coat, what on earth did you do to your hair to make it look like that?
BTW, ever come across Matt Rife? Really inappropriate, but….
Life Support TV show. Check out some of their other clips on youtube.
Still relevant today. Dr Rudi was one of their very "in your face" characters.
Luckily he was not involved in the covid response.Maybe he's one of the 'regular' antivaxxers on Ozb?
As long as they aren't blackmores
I've never purchased any vitamins but what's the issue with Blackmores?
Go on google > Blackmores > Click on news.
Who would have thought the vitamins are too potent.
Melbourne man Dominic Noonan-O'Keeffe, 33, began taking two supplements partly on the advice of health podcasters in May 2023
listening to the advice of health podcasters was his first mistake, taking multiples sources of b6 was his second mistake (60mg + 25mg = 85mg)
@c64: Outsourcing a withering brain to a podcast explains most of the rise in popularity of cookerism.
Vitamins can't address stupidity.
other brands probably also have high doses of b6.
the coles ultralife zinc tablets contain 30mg of b6, coles ultralife magnesium tablets contain 50mg. in comparison, the ultralife multivitamins contain much less b6 at 5mg
bottom life is you need to be careful of vitamin toxicity when taking multiple vitamins
In an appointment recently, the pain specialist said there is no clinical evidence that vitamin supplements offer any benefit if you have an even remotely balanced diet.
The only exception is Vitamin C, which does have good supporting evidence that it helps repair nerve damage.
This position has been supported by my orthopedic surgeon, GP and phamacist.
Peer-reviewed science:
https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC3309636/The results of large-scale randomized trials show that, for the majority of the population, there is no overall benefit from taking multivitamin/mineral (MVM) supplements. Indeed, some studies have shown increased risk of cancers in relation to using certain vitamins.
for me, multivitamins are the cheapest way to get sufficient iron, zinc and iodine as i don't eat much red meat
I've been taking Ultralife Mag/Cal/D and wife their D3 for a few months.
No apparent ill affects for me, and her recent blood work didn't indicate a deficiency (she supplements to compensate for limited sun exposure).
The Theraputic Goods Administration has information on the Ultralife range:
https://www.tga.gov.au/search?keywords=UltraLife&sort_by=rel…Genrrally they sre all a waste of time and money.
Can’t answer your question but anything that is “exclusive” to a supermarket probably isn’t the best option out there.
