Piggybacking off the UGREEN Webcam deal, the UGREEN Car Phone Holder is now on sale for $16.99, down from $29.99. There's other items on the UGREEN Store also on sale.

I bought the silver version back in 2022, have been using it everyday and it still looks new. It holds my phone snugly, slots right into the aircon vents and the charging cable plugs right into the bottom.

I've tried other phone holders in the past but they don't come close to this.

The silver version is also on sale, but slightly more expensive at $24.99.

  • I have one of these. Worked great in my last car but unfortunately my new car has "stylish" air vents which it can't latch onto :(

Sell it get a Camry from an Uber driver, the ozbargain way

Great way to snap a part of your vent, I've found.

  • Vent mounts didn't last long for me from past experiences… Is there any semi permanent method for dash mounts?
Might just fix to the dash with screws and replace trim when I sell the car… Seriously considering

ProClip is terrific if the mounts for your car are in a sensible place. The mounts are car specific so how well they’re placed will vary car to car. Our Ford Fiesta and Honda CRV had placements that were good, while our Toyota Tarago didn’t suit us as much.

Expensive, but if you’re considering replacing trim then perhaps not that expensive compared to the alternative. You also need to buy the holder for the phone which screws into the mount, but that bit can be reused when moving to a different car/mount.

My current setup is one with a MagSafe charger. Super convenient and tidy. MagSafe magnet holds well enough too.

      • Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately they only have products in awkward locations for my car.

  • These are notorious for breaking vents. The only ones that truly work are the ones that extend behind and clip onto the vent like this https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/cygnett-ve…

These break vents just as well…

    • Been using for 3 years, no broken vent in either car, is hulk putting the phone in?

      • The plastic in older cars gets brittle and breaks easily

  • Get a MagSafe case and one of these, works great:

    These kickstands are handy too:

    • Ooohh. So that's what magsafe is for. I thought it was some kind of wireless charging thing. Didn't search enough. Thanks

      • Yeah, pretty good setup with accessories. The ring is to also make provisions for wireless charging if you did want to use that (I don't bother as it's too slow, best using a PD fast charging cable).

      thank you.

guess, this is the best approach. ordered this + a magsafe case

      • Yep it's great. Tried one of those cradle style holders, big clunky and crap.

        • +1

          received and it's works great.
          thanks for the suggestion.

          Cheers !

any recommendation for a wallet stand ? :D

          • @aj-99: That's great, quality accessories.
Haven't looked into those, I just just the ring stand when I want to.

Wouldn't mind a MagSafe card holder (wallet) someting, haven't looked too hard. Those Ridge ones look good but expensive.

  • These are too flat. If your car's vents are angled then phone will have the same angle. I couldn't use it and gave it to a friend.

  • I've been using this since 2019; it still works fine.

  • Just be careful, this exact holder snapped the vents of my car :(

Maybe because it's pretty old and the plastic has become brittle

  • This one is my current one since 2023 and probably the best investment so far for mobile holders. As it is on air-vent - never needed to worry about mobile getting hot during summer, and also it is close to steering wheel - so no need to lean forward that much to use GPS/ change Music/ Receive calls while driving. But you may need to press harder to fix in air vent - so need to be careful for fragile ones.

  • I've gone with this Ugreen model for $1 more: https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B0BVFSF57H . Seems to have a better vent clip and the flexible arm is a bonus.

    • I got another one. Its a lot better.
