    Thank you !

Looked appealing but it's absolute junk

  • Too many games nowadays that devs are giving their games up (whether good or bad games) for free!

An inconceivable concept pre 2010 and prior.

Many also emulate older games - fueling the thought that games these days are of lower crafted quality.

….but game devs have to start somewhere.

Why does this game look like a computer graphics 101 project from the late 90's?

    • +1

Because that's the way it was designed

      • Nostalgia juice :)

  • Is it just me or does it look like the car (and all the surroundings) go about 2x speed when the car turns?
Like those really badly coded games from 30 years ago.

    • I wouldnt say they were badly coded, in fact quite the opposite. They had very underpowered hardware and had to make the most with what they had. A lot were written in assembly to try and optimise as best as they could.

      • Maybe badly coded wasn't the correct wording.
It's hard to explain, but if you know, you know.

Like, in some old games, if you were moving diagonally, you'd move faster than if you were moving straight.

        After some Googling….

"In many older video games, diagonal movement appears faster than straight or turning movement due to how movement is calculated on a grid-based or vector system. Developers often didn't normalize diagonal movement, meaning the speed wasn't adjusted to compensate for the added distance. This resulted in players moving a longer distance diagonally (e.g., √2 or approximately 1.414 times the distance of a straight move) in the same amount of time, effectively making it seem faster. "

        • Yep, a fundamental lack of physics knowledge may be. But i suppose in those days they couldn't just google it and had to go to the library. Those days were tough!

  • Expired? showing A$ 7.50 for me.

Scroll down a little, for some reason there are 2 buying options.

      • Ah, I see - I need to 'Get Barro GT' not 'Buy Barro GT' LOL.
        Thanks for the tip!
